i just wrote a 1000 words essay complaining about something in a game using dots capital letters etc to sound smart and literally a person who i think had less knowledge about it overall smashed me over the wall with their short response and turned out i was absolutely wrong about this and this post looked so dumb
i deleted it immediately 😭

also there were people who either completely misunderstood my intentions or only read the clickbait title and said theyre blocking me lol

im too embarrassed i cant look myself in the face rn 😔

embarrassment i part of the human experience, it is what it is dont let it get to you too much, theirs plenty of things people don't talk about cause fear of being embarrassed, at least you had the courage to say you did, be proud and own it

No need to be embarrassed. We are all wrong sometimes and a big problem with forums in general is people doubling down on their mistakes. They act like every thread is a battlefield; like admitting they goofed is a weakness. You admitted you got something wrong, you learned from your mistake and there is strength in that.

I bought non-refundable flight tickets a while back that are kinda useless now but I got to go and fake having a great time. xD

I've also accidentally came off the wrong way to someone so now I gotta just be viewed as a trouble maker. So I can totally relate to being misunderstood on intentions.

Personally though, when you are wrong just own up to it. People respect you more when you can own up to your own mistakes, even if they don't it is far better to live with yourself knowing you can self correct and become humbled.
