Head pats is not something one should attempt once a boy gets beyond puberty.
He would be on the right side of justified to viciously fight back; even repeated kicking the groin if the head patter was someone that the victimized boy could not win a fair fight against.
Femboys aren't suppose to be violent. I can't imagine trying to hurt some guy just for touching my hair.
It is not fun.

The only exception I could imagine is for safety reasons such as protecting someone's head from hitting an obstacle or in a flirtatious way however they are far from being "head pats".
There is a BIG difference between a friendship hug and head patting.
