As an overall quality, 1930s burger was a lot more nutritious than any 2020s burger you can find at a restaurant.
A Big Mac every now and then is not unhealthy.
If you eat too much bread it is unhealthy I can tell you because I love bread (and other similar, but more tasty alternatives that bakeries make where I live) and I cannot ear as much as I would want (and I already eat too much of it anyway)
Usually in most burgers they put various sauces too and they are not very healthy. A bit is ok but you should not eat them too often (another thing that I love and cannot eat as much as I want :/ )
Another thing is that the percentage of vegetables in a burger compared to bread, meat and sauces is very low. There are vegetables, but it's simply not enough.
But as long as you choose good quality ones and don't eatr them too often it is perfectly fine.
Secondly, carbohydrates in excessive amounts block metabolism and cause obesity when combined with calories. Burgers have large breads and kebab meals are often associated with french fries.
Thirdly, calories.
generally people make them in an unhealthy way.
if you just grill and drain the meat and use a normal bun for the bread, its not that bad.
but its when you add the butter, toppings, more fatty blend of meat, and other stuff that tastes good like sauces with high sugar content, etc, thats what makes it really unhealthy.
One of my favorite things is a lamb shawarma wrap. And I don't care if it's not the best things for me.
If something tastes good, but might not be the best for you, then eat it in moderation. Don't deny yourself though.
It's hard to get 1000 calories into a food item. Just looked it up - a Big Mac has 590 calories.
if you just had a pita bread with some vegetables and a chilli sauce its real good.
Meat is the number one killer on earth .. by far,
Calling meat healthy is like science from some 1980's chain smoking dude that couldn't handle first year of high school.
Also, smoking is bad
So is hand sawing sheets if asbestos without a mask. (its just actually much less dangerous to human health than meat) according to the American Cancer society, which rated meat #1 most carcinogenic product on earth, and "working, or living with asbestos" as 17th.
Jolly Good.
Heart disease is the number one killer by far. And what causes that? Well, being obese and sedentary are among the reasons. Smoking too.
So, enjoy a Big Mac in moderation. Just don't become obese.
Lean meat protein is fine.
