You should not have a PC placed directly upon carpet, as the dust is drawn up from the underneath PSU (power supply unit) fan and clogs or overheats the PC with time. If you want it at ground level, at least have it on a slightly raised solid/stable platform. Make sure that platform won't rock either.
Floor? Like floor floor? The one you put the feet??
laptops always have really bad cooling, that's why typical laptops are not great for gaming. you need a cooler under it pushing cold air into the casing reducing the heat build up, or at the very least cancelling some of the effect out. you can use it for listening to music, playing videos and using the office software, but demanding games with just your legs? how badly do you want crispy leg for lunch?
i welded an end table out of steel for my office pc, too.

like in a closet or cupboard or something and taken out again to be put on the desk next time it is used?
free all desks, #justice_for_desks

desks are love, desks are life
floor is a factory of sadness
