it's there.

black flag is one of the best pirate game that sadly get held back due to boring gameplay design

wind waker is also one of the best but i get it when the map is questionably big and empty
Wind Waker is somehow less boring than Twilight Princess so i assume this whole game is a W regardless.

Most of the time it's a nice way to get virus, trojan or spyware.
And people who yo ho ho are usually don't have antivirus.
Parrots are cool.

This is completely false lol.

It's stealing and anyone who claims otherwise is just trying to justify it.

But that doesn't really matter. It's illegal regardless and that should be enough.
There are anti-piracy measures taken so people can’t pirate games. Like having a immortal monster chasing you all the time and killing you. Or having your game stuck on a loading screen forever.

Ironically, a lot of media has been saved because of piracy.

One big one is Doctor Who. The original series was heavily pirated by people recording it on their home VCRs. Because of this, when the BBC was trying to find all of the older episodes(because they lost the original film) it was a bunch of pirates who sent in copies that they had. This allowed future releases of the original series.

This has also happened with video games as well. A complete game called Nightmare Busters was able to get a remaster after the games was distributed online in 2013. It was developed for the SNES but never released until then.

Copyright laws are so ridiculous and absolute today. Furthermore, piracy is illegal but officially tolerated in my country.

You're always going to have your oddball cases. Maybe the brass knuckles some punk carries around one day allow him to break a window to save someone from a burning car.

I just picked two bigger cases.

With how many video games have been completely lost to time, piracy has literally be the only way to archive and preserve them.

It isn't some black and white thing.

Video game preservation is a serious problem, yeah. But an IP holder should also have the right to control their property, even if that means destroying it or ceasing distribution.

Hello Steam mods, I hate piracy and I would never seed illegally obtained movies and video games.

They can outside of physically coming into the homes of everyone that bought a copy and stopping it.

Also, the 'IP holder' isn't a singular person. It's a faceless corporation.
