Infinity is a not a number as much as it is a concept. The best way to imagine infinity in a mathematical sense, is that it's a collection of all numbers, every number that can exist, of which there are infinite, are part of infinity.

I remember in elementary school my class mates would think that infinity is a number. I was the only one who understood that infinity describes something that never ends.
