What happend to Disney?
What happend to the quality of Disney in recent years?

Marvel is no longer selling out cinemas and no longer can Hollywood rely on big names like Star Wars and Indiana Jones to make the big bucks.

So the question is what happend and how can they become the top dog again?

Listen.. a "Thor Love & Thunder" isn't going to hold a candle to "Taxi Driver" or "Goodfellas"

It's hard to have a hard effort quality job and have people think that "The Emoji Movie" counts as something "the same" and "worthwhile"... it's not, he's just saying his opinions and he has every right to say it...

Whether you think he does or not... he does.
So that's the bar then. Must be as good as Goodfellas to count as a movie.

Yeah, I'm on the Internet alright.

No but trying to say there isn't a bar and they're all the same is naive at best...

People will still be talking about "Goodfellas" for years to come.. when they've long forgot 98% of the movies made in the last ten years... that's just the facts, if you want to believe it or not

Martin Scorsese got mad that more people wanted to watch stuff explode than his deep films about people drinking tea for two hours
hey, he wants views, make more gangster films.

i love seeing films about italians shooting people and each other and saying spagetti a lot (no, seriously, why is pasta such a huge point in these films?)

looking the quote up though, it doesn't seem that bad.

Martin Scorsese eredeti hozzászólása:
I was asked a question about Marvel movies. I answered it. I said that I've tried to watch a few of them and that they're not for me, that they seem to me to be closer to theme parks than they are to movies as I've known and loved them throughout my life, and that in the end, I don't think they're cinema. if you're wondering where this quote came from, I got it from The New York Times[www.nytimes.com]

You still continue to fail to explain how this makes them not movies.

And you continue to deflect and derail this thread... it was explained if you like it or not. /replies

Nope, not anywhere has anyone explained why anything isn't a movie. Just copious repetitions that they are bad, which isn't the question.
read somewhere disney is losing their old school steamboat willie mickey mouse trademark

seems they're in so much deep ♥♥♥♥ and debt they can't afford to pay off enough politicians and lobbyists to extend the patents.

I'm guessing it's also Disney recognizing that if they continue to make copyright longer, they'd piss off consumers to the point they wouldn't purchase as much.

Well not only that but they're pretty well in a catch 22...

They ( Dismaly ) got famous off of either non-copyrighted or expired copyrighted material... that they just used or modified just enough not to be copyright struck themselves...

So... if they lobby politicians sure they can cover their own... assists...

But... then someone else could hold on to copyrighted material longer themselves... which means they have to either purchase said material... or just make something new themselves.

Since they can only remake and repeat... they're now forced to use their own material again... which is why there's so many remakes and re-boots of what they already did... or purchase it, Star Wars, Marvel, etc... and that gets expensive fast... especially when running up against the likes of Amazon that has almost if not deeper pockets then they do.

Or they would have creative new things... but they can't come up with something on their own at all...

So they might extend "steam boat mickey" but then miss out on something that has fallen out of copyright but might still have a audience they can fool into thinking they're out to build on... when all they really want is warm bodies to pay money for their twisted and warped version of it.

LOL! Disney is concerned about making customers angry? LOL! No, they don't care. If they did? Every (Lucasfilm and Marvel) project since 'Endgame' would not have happened.

Disney paid off politicians to change copyright rules long ago. All they have to do is release a limited DVD copy of things they own. Restores the copyright for decades.

Years ago they released a complete collection of all Disney movies. Like, literally everything. Even included stuff like 'Song of the South' and 'Der Fuehrer's Face'. Was limited to less than 1000 copies. Copyrights restored!
I'm waiting for History to repeat it's self & Disney Sells Marvel back to FOX again, lOl.

FOX already layed out a message that Disney is going to return FOX Studios back to FOX.

Wouldn't surprise me. The people in charge of Disney could not be worse. Literally.

They've no idea what they are doing wrong. They've no idea why they are losing money. Even though it's completely and totally obvious to the public.

Well there is talk about Dismaly selling things off to stay afloat...

The real question would be A. Can FOX afford it? and B. Would they want it?

Right now... it's pretty much damaged goods... from the actual comics to the movies it's toast.
