Pistol fans :
".45 is way more superior! "
"Noooo! 9mm is better, .45 has too strong recoil"

I'd like both. I only own a 34 and on the market for AR (or AK - but it's harder with the ammo), but I don't own a revolver. I have tried it at the range, and it was rally cool, just feel like I want a rifle first. Gun noob here tho. so feel free to correct - I love to learn.

Best gun is whatever you can handle. If your flinching because of the recoil, the gun is too big for you. About any pistol made in the last 500 years will kill a person, or at very least make them wish they would of left you alone.
Idk... I tried revolver and looked garbage :steambored:

But then I used its replacement, the desert eagle ,and I do not like it too 🤷

Why not both. Revolver to have cause it’s cool. Pistol for practicality for most scenarios
Again, revolvers are pistols. The question should have been revolver or semiautomatic. Both are handguns as well.

Where the bolt-action pistols at!

If you cant get the job done in 5 or 6, keep training. I guarantee if you don't make it in 5 or 6, you won't get it in the 7th, 8th, or 9th either.
tell that to the entire past century of warfare employing machine guns with hundreds of rounds of belted ammo per box
Tell that to the entire past century of warfare that machine guns were meant to suppress and that bolt actions and more precise, careful shots have killed more than automatic fire ever has. There's a reason why bolt actions are still around. Because they are less likely to jam, and they're pretty trusty and are good at killing. Same with revolvers, however when a sidearm is issued, it's usually to incompetent grunts, so they don't put much hope in their survival or reliability, thats why it's SIG. But also the cost is an influence in the abandonment of double action revolvers, in favor of simpler single action semi autos which can be manufactured in a jiffy.

You want class? Revolver
You want a mantelpiece? Revolver
You want reliability? Revolver
You want to compensate? Revolver (Desert Eagle exception)
You want power? Revolver

Are you the type of penny pincher that skips out on name brand foodstuffs and scours for coupons and discounts? Semi-auto
Are you the type of person that doesn't trust yourself to hit the broad side of the barn? Semi Auto
Are you the type of person to be extremely scared of cities like Boston, LA, Chicago, and Detroit? Semi Auto
The thing with revolvers is even without ammo it can still be used as a weapon.

*pistol whips you* mwhahahaha
It all boils down to training.

Even then, a semi auto is going outperform a revolver.

Actually... both are "semiautomatic"... you pull the trigger, bullet fires, new bullet gets put in place... that's "semi-automatic" not having to manually put a new bullet in / not "full" automatic

The only real difference is amount of bullets... usually 6 vs. more then 6 and one has a magazine and one doesn't

But even then there's 6+ shot "revolvers" and 6 shot with a magazine of 6 or sometimes even less depending on it's bullet size.

Pistol only means "a small firearm designed to be held in one hand"

The ~true~ OP question should of been: "Magazine fans vs Revolver fans"

Plenty of magazine fed pistols can be used in exactly the same way. Hitting someone with a lump of metal/hard polymers is not dependent on the loading mechanism to cause damage.
Pistol denotes a small firearm so covers both semi and revolver.

As for which is the best depends on best at what. For instance a revolver has less parts or a semi holds more rounds.
One on one if your a crack shot then a revolver is good enough. If your in a conflict with multiple targets then a semi.

After this a bullet is a bullet meaning what stopping power do your want or need and again circles how good a shot you are under the conditions your in.
I just like the cylinder :BL3Shrug:
Tell me about my semi-automatic pistol which takes like half a second to load, and tell me I should give a ♥♥♥♥ about individually loading every hole in the cylinder. It's easy to see that revolvers are straight up just bad in the face of pistols.

It's not a question of which is the fastest, it's the feel of both, shooting a 357 magnum is a lot more fun than a semi auto 9mm... it's the feel of it. In a modern day gun fight I'd rather have a 30 round mag than a 6 shooter of course but when you shoot cans or bottles man the revolver is top

Actually no, recovers are not semi automatic. Semi-automatic has nothing to do with the fire rate It is called that because a pull of the trigger only fires a shot. Extracting, ejecting, and chambering a new cartridge is done automatically. In a revolver everything is done manually.
Look, the dude wasn't called "Pistol Ocelot", and for damn good reason, let's just leave it at that.
