But then I used its replacement, the desert eagle ,and I do not like it too 🤷
Where the bolt-action pistols at!
You want class? Revolver
You want a mantelpiece? Revolver
You want reliability? Revolver
You want to compensate? Revolver (Desert Eagle exception)
You want power? Revolver
Are you the type of penny pincher that skips out on name brand foodstuffs and scours for coupons and discounts? Semi-auto
Are you the type of person that doesn't trust yourself to hit the broad side of the barn? Semi Auto
Are you the type of person to be extremely scared of cities like Boston, LA, Chicago, and Detroit? Semi Auto
*pistol whips you* mwhahahaha
Even then, a semi auto is going outperform a revolver.
Actually... both are "semiautomatic"... you pull the trigger, bullet fires, new bullet gets put in place... that's "semi-automatic" not having to manually put a new bullet in / not "full" automatic
The only real difference is amount of bullets... usually 6 vs. more then 6 and one has a magazine and one doesn't
But even then there's 6+ shot "revolvers" and 6 shot with a magazine of 6 or sometimes even less depending on it's bullet size.
Pistol only means "a small firearm designed to be held in one hand"
The ~true~ OP question should of been: "Magazine fans vs Revolver fans"
Plenty of magazine fed pistols can be used in exactly the same way. Hitting someone with a lump of metal/hard polymers is not dependent on the loading mechanism to cause damage.
As for which is the best depends on best at what. For instance a revolver has less parts or a semi holds more rounds.
One on one if your a crack shot then a revolver is good enough. If your in a conflict with multiple targets then a semi.
After this a bullet is a bullet meaning what stopping power do your want or need and again circles how good a shot you are under the conditions your in.
It's not a question of which is the fastest, it's the feel of both, shooting a 357 magnum is a lot more fun than a semi auto 9mm... it's the feel of it. In a modern day gun fight I'd rather have a 30 round mag than a 6 shooter of course but when you shoot cans or bottles man the revolver is top
Actually no, recovers are not semi automatic. Semi-automatic has nothing to do with the fire rate It is called that because a pull of the trigger only fires a shot. Extracting, ejecting, and chambering a new cartridge is done automatically. In a revolver everything is done manually.
