"Try that in a small town", controversial song lyrics catching fire

As many who follow the news are aware, Jason Aldean's song "Try that in a small town" is being accused of supporting "lynching", and has accordingly been pulled from cable music video stations after outcry from the mob. However, in a recent turn of events, popular support for Jason Aldean has increased dramatically, pushing the song to #1 on the charts despite the attempted blacklisting.

During the George Floyd race riots of 2020, numerous towns and cities across America were attacked by violent mobs who masqueraded as so-called "peaceful protesters" by the mainstream media. The impact of that economic devastation is still felt today, with boarded up downtown shops and city squares abandoned to urban decay.

It seems like our society has reached a turning point on this issue. For years we've been told to say silent, that questioning the narrative perpetuated systemic racism. But now, we've seen what happens when we give in. Police cars are set on fire, people get attacked with bricks, Footlocker gets looted. And are we any closer to racial harmony in America after all that? Did the so-called "peaceful protesters" get what they want?

Jason Aldean's song speaks to looking after your neighbors and taking care of your family. That's not lynching. If we live in an era where the police have been defunded, it falls on the man of the house to defend his homeland.

My relatively small town is a good example of this. During the summer of BLM protests, there was exactly one protest like that here. About one hundred protesters were separated from roughly the same number of antiprotesters, by a line of police. Both sides yelled at each other for a couple of hours, then everyone went home.

There were no violent protests, because if one started, it would have been put down in about ten minutes by business and home owners, before the police even arrived on the scene.
