yeah
i was going to comment on your previous post when i was in earlier, lol.
apparently they used 'we want to make an epic co-op game mode' as the justifier for why they invalidated everyone who paid for ow1, and arguably, was the better pvp experience (better balanced / more critical moments of player dillemma, skill shots, etc.)
among other things.
well, then we got the news 'lmao sry guys we can't make it. do you not have phones???!' speech from their staff, and the entire thing they worked on was trashed, it was approximately half built, would have needed another year or two to be fully finished, but honestly i think people would have really went for that.
anyways, blizzard is the king of alienating playerbase, i'm just so amused that even the next 2 generations of players gets trashed by blizzard's classic bait and switch.
definitely hold your cards when you got the urge to buy a blizz game lol.
1. “Making video games is hard.”
2. Executives looked at Diablo Inmortal brining in 2 million dollars per month and concluded that the live service aspect of Overwatch - ie the multiplayer stuff - was simply more profitable, and that they wouldn’t see the same kind of revenue with a singleplayer campaign mode.
then i see the announcement on the store page 'overwatch invasion.'💀
This was definitely planned to show up on Steam the day after the initial deadline for MS to secure the deal on the 18th.
