Titanic (1997)
What do you think of this movie? I think it is the greatest love story ever told on film.

It also begins like a run of the mill VN in the first half and then turns into Half-Life in the water in the second half. The special effects are amazing too.

It is a story about a woman cheating on her fiancee, and then through her own selfishness kills her lover, and then waste several thousand of dollars of a crew who was looking for an item that she took and threw in the ocean. Plot wise it is one of the most retarded stories if you look at it objectively. The special effects were pretty good for it'a time however.

Watched it a ton as a kid and thought it was alright. My family was more into it then I was.

Also because of the whole Titan incident I went down a rabbit hole of looking into Titanic's sisters which ended in me watching Britannic (2000) today. I heard it was horrible but didn't listen and now want an hour and a half of my life back.

I liked Raise the Titanic (1980) , we didn't even know that condition of the Titanic laying at the bottom of the North Atlantic Ocean in 1980 and thought it was a whole ship

It was the first movie I watched about a real life tragedy and it got me hooked about shipwrecks and disasters for a while when I watch it for the first time. Anytime I hear about a shipwreck discovered it makes my day happy.

Beyond the Poseidon Adventure 1979

It is the only film that i watched in movie theaters.

And, I didn't watch it EVER again. This means that both Titanic and my memoirs about that movie remains in same Century. Whenever i hear "my heart will go on", i remember my experience in that movie theater.

By the way, it is later understood that Titanic wasn't split in two COMPLETELY above ocean waters, contrary to what happened in the movie.

On surface, Titanic started to break from upper floors but sank WITH the bow section due to the "not yet broken apart" lower double-bottom which was very resistant compared to other structures. After being swallowed on an angle (like in the FIRST Titanic movie) the iron behemoth continued to break apart in its journey to 3800 meters deep. Passing halfway through the journey, the stern section finally broke apart from the leading Bow section. This was found after analyzing WHOLE debris from the Titanic shipwreck site. Thousands of pieces are placed within a 3D Computer program and it is deduced that had the split happened on surface, the debris on the bottom of the ocean would have been more than 2 times wider.

And a final word;

NEVER dare to challenge God. It ends in debris.

From a technical standpoint, it was world-class. The story surrounding Jack and Rose was just a cheap, meaningless romance melodrama.

Yeah, James Cameron is great with simple premises and basic plots/characters. His writing was always weak but you never noticed it when he made action films. This film showed his stories couldn't carry a film. Avatar is another example.

Too much focus on the romance part. There's deleted scenes that should've remained in I'd rather they delete a lot of the unnecessary fluff for those scenes. The SS Californian scene was very important for context later where Jack said "Shut up Shut up! I'm busy working Cape Race" after their telegraph bled into his ear-piece.

A love story for simps, where the guy dies for a girl he met a couple of hours earlier, and who was a b*.

After cheating on her future husband, she will marry another man while she is pregnant with the guy from the boat.

She was living a poor life, but she had a 30 million € worthly diamond, and what did she do with it? She threw it in the sea instead of giving the money to her kids. Really a nice story mate.

A woman like that should have died in the Titanic tbh.
