Do Ubisoft just try hard to bankrupt?
By all these actions they committing it feels like they either lack any kind of self awareness or setting themselves up to failure.

Watchdogs was a GTA clone that never clicked, and unlike Saints Row 2 and 3, no one ever loved. They are contractually obligated to release Skull and Bones, which is basically a Black Flag DLC. Mirage is desperately trying to be Assassins Creed 1 and 2. They've been remaking Far Cry 3 for a decade. With the exception of R6 Siege (eight years old btw), they have no clue what to do with the Tom Clancy IP. They jump on the NFT bandwagon precisely at the moment we all agreed it was "cringe."

It's like it is run by shoddy algorithms or something.
Definitely. big corporations are also buying up indie games and running them into the dirt too. Thank God it's not so expensive to use pre=made game engines now.

Skull and Bones is not BF in slightest because you can't even walk on your ship (or leave it at all with exceptions of big city) and fight on foot, even boarding is simply an animation.

Mirage trying to be AC1/2 is good thing because it would make it more unique and interesting, many people tired of Witcher copycats and the fact that series switched from interesting sci-fi concept to bland magic fantasy.

Ubisoft & Valve is competing to see which one goes bankrupt first, I guess.
Since Ubisoft has likely less money, they'll go broke faster? oO
Man, Valve owns the Steam, they don't even have to make games to survive.

Long live the Gaben.

There's already an absurd amount of predatory anti consumer stuff, wth MTX's, NFT's, Pre-Orders, Season Passes, Battle Passes, P2W, gacha / pachinko machines, FOMO, etc. I don't want to know what would gaming look like if it turns into a monopoly. The current oligopoly in regards to AAA video-games is already bad enough atm, imho of course.

Too late

62 % is already owned by you know who.

Ubisoft just happens to invest into AI, just happens to be in bed with EA on starwars and just happened to cross over Master chief

All these companies in one way or the other is owned by the game engine companies =

Tencent unreal engine, Microsoft visual studio

and the remaining are losers bought up
Overall there's still time to avoid the current oligopoly to go full monopoly, however I don't see a "videogames industry crash", like the one in 1983 any time soon.
However if there's a new "videogames industry crash 2.0", perhaps there can be a full overhaul in regards to how indie games & AA games compete with AAA games.

No one knows Ubisoft is ran by my pet wolf.

They've been trying for years. I'm a Siege fan, I'd know.

With the exception of maybe R6 Siege or Hell's Highway (which they only published), I don't think they've ever made a great game.

There's always some sloppy controls, awful writing, horrid AI, or grindy bs aspect ruining their games.

It's normal when all you have is accountant type people running a business. They only do the 'least' risky thing and not take chances, They don't even play the games nor look at the darn product they created: All they want to do is retire and live on their yacht or fly to Hawaii on their aeroplane.

Accountants should NEVER be allowed to make key decisions for a business. They don't have creativity in them they literally think like calculators. To them a 'video game' is a digital calculator you punch numbers in.

With all the problems going on overseas and China 'flexing' it's war muscles this is all small potatoes to what's coming near term.

The A,AAA, AA is how much money spend.

All games will one day be AAA titles.

No company earns money. It's all money given to them by debts of loans. They give shares, the company swap hands as each battle to give more loans to the company.

The more greedy they are the higher to the moon it reaches. But then they claim they have to pay back the debt, holy...

What they been doing all this time if not giving money and shares as payment.

That's how it's all a monopoly of Dollars $ and China is not allowed to enter.

That's why Ubisoft is a zombie. Not even a cleansing flame can kill it.

You could had stopped the apocalypse of zombies but now it's all part of one frankenstein monster.

They wouldn't want China to enter as it would be the immediate kiss of death. Better they die on their own hill instead of being propped by some foreign government and be a literal zombie company which they have to do what the CCP says.

It will result on your issues on steroids, and they will regret ever doing business not that they will likely be allowed to live to tell if they fight back in anyway. So many shills on here protecting China's ass makes me wonder whom really owns this forum.

Ubisoft needs to die. They are sh*t and so are their cheap a** games.

most major corporations appear to be this way currently, horribly out of touch and no matter how much money they lose, they double down

If you take a look on Ubisoft´s recent financial reports, its show they are in trouble. Ubisoft Stock are also going further and further downhill as time on.

They have cancelled several games and other have been delayed yet again. So now wonder that 2023 is crucial for their future.

It also rumours that Ubisoft has tried to sell itself, but the buyers are not that interesting in it, except maybe Chinese Tencent. I guess that Ubisoft enterprise value is simple not worth it. I dont remember how many IP that Ubisoft franchises hold, but they also have some inhouse game Engine like:

AnvilNext
Dunia Engine
Disrupt
UbiArt Framework

But most developer used Unreal Engine, Unity or there own inhouse game engine, so I doubt they are worthless more or less. Its just seems that Ubisoft´s executives want other to buy them out of there mess. Just take a look of some of issue they have for the moment.

# Toxic workplace environment
# Creativity problem
# Management & leadership issue
# Virtual gambling and microtransactions

Its just seems that Ubisoft´s is in serious trouble.
