How do you react to forced / intrusive video ads?

at least most of them are foods. i like foods. although the musics are annoying.

if it's not a video and instead a playback that appears outside of the video itself, that's the problem. when i see a literal furry porn in front of me, i close it immediately. i can't do it. aghhh

generally i use ublock. but mobile however that's the issue. that's where the website playback comes to play

The only major social media site I really use is Youtube, and Youtube advertising isn't too horrible. You just wait ten seconds in total to skip a couple of adverts most of the time. Its an annoyance, but still much more tolerable than television advertising, and those endless popups of the 1990s.

I do not run an ad-blocker 'cause I know the services have to be funded somehow, and it's not really right to cheat the system in my opinion. I can not complain about indulging a few minor inconveniences for otherwise free entertainment. I do skip mid-video advertisements though.

I do kinda think video advertising on tik-tok would be too much though. Yes, I know I said I do not use the service, but my understanding is that it is exclusively for short form video like Youtube Shorts, and the time investment spent watching advertisements can reach a point where it is too disproportionately large compared to the length of video.

On rare occasion an advertisement can actually be kind of interesting in its own right too, particularly if you have got a good mascot like Cool Spot, though I will spare you folks from talking about that since it was discontinued too early to be particularly relevant to the discussion.

When I see a video ad, I just reload the brower, and the video is instantly ready!
I don't know about on desktop, but this works on the version I'm using.

Flooding people with images in catchy ways is what gets the awareness of a product out far faster than word of mouth. From there on out the push becomes maintaining that momentum.

We are very big on hitting on the actual platform owners/investors but content makers behave the same way. Every person that's ever made it on the internet, made it financially from this very course of action.
