You have 1 chance to use Time Machine to go back to save ship Titanic, or…
…Two Towers trading center.

You can only choose one. Which one will you do?

Edit: No. You don’t get to stuck in that past. Once it’s done, you must come back to your current timeline (with a different, new, unknown reality, of course).

It woulda sank in WW1 anyway
April 15, 1912 - Titanic's sinking
World War 1 didn't start for 2 more years
Thus, the word "woulda"

Most likely it would have been converted to a troop carrier or supply carrier and torpedoed.

Ah, that kind of scenario, where your existence in the past is bound to your timeline of origin. In that case, why travel? It would either mean your self would disappear in one way or another, or your actions would not affect your timeline at all.

Well, let’s just say in this case, for the purpose of the thread, you don’t get to stay. I think that it’s better if you don’t stay. The rule is that you get only to change one thing, and if you mess with other significant events, or if you fail your main objective, you would just “disappear” forever, because you never exist.

That doesn't make any sense unless one's existence is directly tied to that event's outcome. Which brings up the question of how the heck one is capable of existing if one's existence is directly tied to oneself affirming it by travelling back in time.
It's either a typical time travel paradox or a time loop. Time travelling is confusing and better left to the experts.

I mean the Titanic's sister ship, The Britannic, was converted into a hospital ship and finally sank after running into a naval mine that literally tore its front bow off https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/britannic-sinks-in-aegean-sea

Neither would be a good idea. There is no way of knowing how changing either of those things would affect the future.

The Titanic disaster led to greatly increased safety regulations for passenger ships, most famously that all ships need to have enough lifeboats for all passengers. If it's sinking didn't happen, another disaster would likely have happened later, perhaps worse as the Titanic wasn't fully loaded when it sank, and ships have gotten much larger over time.

9/11 happened much more recently, and most of the after effects of 9/11 have been negative (increased government surveillance, increased paranoia, etc.), but even so, the consequences of preventing it could be bad. Airline security wouldn't have been strengthened, possibly leading to a future attack that wouldn't have happened otherwise, one of the people killed could have gone on to do horrible things, etc.

If I had to choose one I'd choose to prevent 9/11, but I'd still worry about what could happen.

The other sister ship, the Olympic, survived until it was scrapped

I would go back in time to stop you from making this thread.
But if you'd save Titanic you'd also prevent this thread
Awesome, 2 birds 1 stone let's do it

Right, I’m no expert, but just for the purpose of this thread, let’s not explore the part “staying”, and we can time travel. Main goal is just to see how and why people choose.
I'd let it run their course as altering events in time will change the future.

If 9-11 was prevented, there will most likely be a different incident anyway.

Correct! The MIC transcends time and space. There is no escape!!

Yep...most likely a different target altogether
