Eating healthy is so expensive.
Frozen pizzas, chips and other snacks are so cheap.

Today I tried buying healthy food. Potatoes, fruits, vegetables, yogurt. And it was like 40 bucks. So that's 3 times the amount I usually spend on food.

Why is eating healthy more expensive than eating bad food like burgers???? i dont get it. shouldnt the government do something to encourage people to eat healthy food by making bad food really expensive and healthy food much cheaper.

I feel cheated btw. i could of gotten a lot of burgers for this money at mcdonalds

But nah, you just gotta avoid the health products. Instead get healthy food. The stuff that's just being all background NPC about it.

Anything that is advertised as "healthy" is gonna be overpriced because that's what they use that kind of marketing for.

But ya know something? If you've been outside doing heavy lifting and ♥♥♥♥, your body's gonna rip up those burgers and go "what else bro."

So sometimes burger is still okay :mhwgood:

Eating healthy in the west is expensive because they don't want you to do it. They want you unhealthy so they can make money from your medical bills.

Here's my philosophy: I spend as much as I did on the unhealthy food, but I get less food. It's less, but it's healthy. Eating less is also a benefit; look at it that way. You eat less, but the food going into your body is not going to kill you. You'll also feel better physically.

Try it for a while... it sucks because you'll be hungry in the beginning, but stick with it and your body adjusts.

The east in not better though...It is a standard practice across the world.

Me living in SE Asia street food here is dirt cheap but extremely unhealthy. While the healthy food price is almost equal to any first world country. Especially veggies with no pesticide is bloody expensive.

you shouldn't be eating 1 avocado every day thats not good for you
eat better veggies that you can eat every day and are way cheaper
Idk man. Eating in general has become really expensive. But over here, eating healthy isn't necessarily more expensive, just less convenient.

I will admit that I have an avocado probably every two days but only because I have a $60 avocado tree that fruits well. :hp_kyu:

What it really is is the war on singles and small families.

If you were allowed to actually buy as much as you need, it wouldn't be that bad. But although you can buy one frozen pizza, you have to buy potatoes by the ton.

Having your own garden is affordable and it doesn’t take a master to, well, be good at it. I’ve had a garden a few times and each time I’ve reaped some decent tomatoes, bell peppers, lettuce, squash and zucchini. Growing fresh herbs helps too because that stuff can get pricey too and they help flavor your food. Remember to try local farmer’s markets or stands too. Getting to know your local farmers can reap benefits for both you and them; deals for you plus the importance of knowing where your food is coming from and a loyal customer for them.
Farmer's markets are pretty much like any small business. They can be good but they can also be ♥♥♥♥.

I've been to farmer's markets where they clearly just bought their produce at the grocery store down the street, pulled the stickers off and gave it an 80% markup.
bag of spinach $4 a pound, can relate costs same as beef

garden will save you some money in summertime cut your veggie bill in half

but real non-chemical food gonna cost more
If you think about it even eating at Burger King is expansive these days like wth man.
