Their conscience works too well I guess.
Sorry for my boring post. Peace out.
Well, more than that, the number of animals killed to protect soybean crops, or rice fields, corn, etc is much, much greater than the number of animals killed for food, and most of the stuff those animals actually eat are byproducts of the grains and crops we already eat, so we don't have to make extra to feed them. You do make extra to feed a more vegan lifestyle though.
So, the ones who claim they do it so animals don't get killed are lying to themselves.
last thing i tried that tried to taste like meat was some german curry wurst but vegan
i dont really know from what it was made but it didnt quite pass as meat in the taste
Yeah, a lot of soy based meat alternatives. My issue with those is, well, soy itself isn't the healthiest thing to consume lots of, but to make those artificial meat products they have to be combined with a lot of unnatural chemicals and artificial flavorings. If someone goes vegan, they're probably better off not trying to substitute meat, and focusing more on meals that don't use it at all, like a lot of Meditteranian and Indian foods.
It's not about "hating meat" or "hating veggies", that's a really naive and simplistic look. It's about hating the way our world and rules of it are, and trying not to contribute, and let me tell you from experience, that nature doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥ if you play along by its hostile and cruel rules; It will just keep going and you not eating meat will only harm you, and will not be good for anything else.
