No, I'm not ignoring or denying anything, it's other people that live in denial and like to romanticize the past. In reality, if they had a time machine and the opportunity to visit the past, they wouldn't last a month without electricity. They would come back to the future in the blink of an eye.
That's completely irrelevant to the topic, or the arguement we were having. Also it's just your opinion, you have nothing to back it up.
I thought that was pretty clear but it seems you don't understand what the (side)topic was:
Past VS Present
And yes I have something to back it up, because if people wanted to, they could live like it's 1600 or whatever period they find better. You can sell your phone, computer, fridge, car, all the modern stuff and go live in the countryside for the full experience. But I see no one doing that.
Keep evolvoing... into what? a form that resembles god, because we have our heads so far up our own orifices we seem to think we are the only ones who can have it and to control the destiny of other species and planets as well?
i'd rather us humans stay as we are, stock level, arrogant and proud of ourselves, at least we can kick the crap out of each other instead of doing it out in the deep space with other intelligence species, just as soon as we can prove they exist first.
That's not the topic, that's just a tangent you decided to take because after picking an argument with me, it turns out you don't have one. And your backup is completely flawed as usual. A single person could go and live in the woods and avoid society, but only if they live in the right part of the world where the land isn't owned by somebody else. And it would be nothing like living in the 1600's. In the 1600's people still lived in cities, towns and villages. They still had communities, they weren't all loners surviving in the woods.
Have you ever heard of Amish people?
From what I heard Napoleon wasn`t actually short, it was a mixup of measurement units with same name that were different length at two different countries and he was completely normal height.
Well, it's true Napolean's height wasn't abnormal. He was average for the era. But that was still 5'9. We have a lot of people who are still only that size, but taller may be becoming more common. Perhaps the human body uses that abundance of nutrients in different ways. Some bodies attempt to conserve it, and gain weight. Some people's bodies may grow more. I think a lot of it has to do with HOW people act about it in their daily lives. Those who eat one meal a day tend to go into a conservation mode, while those who eat more often, their bodies just dump more of that fuel into the fire and they're more energetic.
We think the planet is there to protect us, yet we can't be bothered to protect it from ourselves. our species is one Brazilian rainforest deforestation away from extinction when the atmosphere changes and we can no longer be tolerated on the planet we thought was there for our protection.
What happens if those good alien species out there that were watching us (hypothetically writing), they see us kill ourselves first and wonder how much of a pity it really was to lose us from the galaxy. they saw so much potential, added diversity and what not and yet we could not find diversity and acceptance in ourselves. That even assumes aliens can even comprehend of think the way way we do.
There are many lies about the conditions of the past, violence and war are just one due to cope narratives of dishonest people like Steven Pinker.

You wouldn't die from literally a scratch because in the past due to harsh darwinian selection people were stronger. The irony of modern medicine is it farms the weak, it farms decay.
