secondly, i assume it will be very easy to spoof anyway, either with a literal mask (printed paper if nothing else).
or, without specially authorized hardware, just by feeding a virtual signal into the camera input so to speak, and then either just giving it a clip of a random hollywood actor or by running your own camera through a face filter before feeding it to the camera input.
i am sure someone has already written a paper on this stuff.
I find this especially questionable, since the scanner is usually in a way to cradle the index finger when the phone is held. I appreciate the extra grip, but I don't like the scanning, hence I cover the scanner.
Micro$oft requires OEMs to install webcams on their integrated devices, if they want to sell them with Windows 11.
