The problem with “waifu” is that it generally implies you love the character to an unhealthy extent. Most people are not Otakus with actual waifus. I see characters as character nothing more- even the ones that have depth. Without watching the video, I can say the design of the character seems cute, but other than that, there is little to be said, without a characterization.

I guess you could say my “waifu” is Violet Evergarden, as she is my favorite woman in anime, but for 1 she is married and 2 I don’t desire her, nor any animated character for that matter. I love her as a character and her journey the same way I love the iron giant. You can enjoy the design, personality, and story of a character, but you need to be able to separate fantasy from reality. Like any media, it’s okay to enjoy it, even buy some merch, but it’s when it becomes obsessive that you have a problem.
