I made a post for fun, but the answer is no, people don't hate German language. This language is complex and can be really formal when you soeak it. It's the best Germanic language made in the story.

It may be difficult to learn (just like any language foreign to you) but hate is a strong word. I have a feeling it just seems that way because it's a meme. English is hard too for learners because there's silent vowels, words borrowed from other languages and things that generally don't make sense. Like "a murder of crows". Or "trousers vs pants". Or why a ship is a she. Or why gull is pronounced differently from bull (at least I do say it differently :D)

I actually like the way it sounds.
But it's not easy to learn.

My Mother hated German.

Having ridiculously long words like Lebensabschnittpartner, Freundschaftsbezeugung, Rechtsschutzversicherungsgesellschaften, or Siebentausendzweihundertvierundfünfzig probably doesn't help. I swear, there is nothing the German language loves more than compounding an entire sentence into just a single, overly-long word.

Reminds me of my favorite: Tscheschisches Streichholzschächtelchen.
Always great to hear people try to pronounce it.
