RZ in Polish
In the past, I've had some altercations about the pronunciation of RZ in Polish.

Let's take the word "rzeka" (river). Pretty common across the Slavic languages, good for comparison. How do you pronounce the RZ in "rzeka"?

For lack of a better explanation, I pronounce it similar to the Czech Ř and heard some Poles pronounce it like that as well. Others insist it's pronounced like Ż.

What are your thoughts on RZ in the Polish language?

i'd say (or read it as) reseka.. or redtseka - writing it řżeka looks cool tho

The French "J" seems to be the more consistent example. The Czech "Ř" sounds almost the same in certain words, but on its own it's closer to "SZ".

RZ and Ż sound the same, but they can completely alter the meaning of the word. For example:

może - maybe
morze - sea.
