That's exactly it... like putting Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford in new "sTaR wArS" movies or Harrison Ford in the new "Indiana Jones" movie... they somehow think people will be gullible enough to watch because "remember them?" but only a few gullible ones... it's a gimmick and an old and tired one at that.
Let it go? I haven't watched it in 11 years. I can keep that streak going.
Out of the frying pan into the fire... hopefully a funeral pyre

I'm still a Dr. Who fan... have been for decades before it became "big" again... and still will.
Just the good ones though...
Took me a while to get into Tom Baker but I enjoyed him once I did
I liked some of the Doctors films that reunited the earlier Docs
But that was how long ago I was into the show
Not really like that, no. I was just joking a bit.
They partnered up to broadcast on Disney+ to reach a worldwide audience.

But with Disney money, who knows.
Same here.. I started with the Pertwee / Baker era.. still the best of the bunch IMO
Paul McGann, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy keep looking better and better as time goes by...
Heck even Peter Cushing's Dr. Who is better then anyone lately.
