Social media blackout?

Have EU just caused a communications blackout over these mostly peaceful protests in France? I can't access sites like Twitter using incognito mode anymore.

Its like when EU blocked RT news over war in Ukraine because they wanted me to watch their propaganda only, and not the other side's.

Weird thing is, I'm not even in the EU.

Maybe that's why the calls to stop the violence by French head figures have gone unheard: Not even a million people in France have a Twitter account. We need to make Twitter accounts mandatory across the EU to stop the riots. ;P

Why do I need to give them that when I browse stuff from a PC?

And there's the "we've noticed suspicious activity on your account" false positive security alerts when you don't give them your number.

Phone number? I never gave them my phone number...

What suspicious security alerts? Never seen those either. I'm not stupid and give out my account credentials.
