Official websites are one game devs/pubs partner with. The site requests keys from them and the site itself is directly selling to you, the customer.

Unofficial websites have 3rd party marketplace resellers where the keys aren't sourced from the game devs/pubs and usually you are doing a peer to peer transaction with the website only there to act as a middleman.
