Expect Nintendo to cease all support and online services for current gen hardware before too long. If they release a new SKU, it's just to suck out the last millilitre from the dead horse, to mix metaphors.
Why would they cease online services and support once a new Switch comes out? If it can play 1st gen Switch games, there's no reason to terminate support and split their consumer base.
I buy consoles these days at the end of their life cycle for a number of reasons. 1) More refined than initial release. 2) more games than initial release. 3) easier to buy second hand games
I wouldn't call it a dead horse by any stretch. What it shows is good games are more important than hardware and graphics capabilities.
I've been considering it anyway, but I am also thinking that the Animal Crossing switch was actually available for quite a long time so this might be too, and if I am being frank O.L.E.D. burn in on a portable game console does not sound too appealing.
On phones, it does not matter so much because most people replace those on a regular basis due to phone plan subsidies, but a handheld game console is something you kinda want to keep with you for life.
Also, d-brand kinda made their own knock-off skin to approximate the aesthetic.
Yeah, you can. They come on proprietary cartridges that resemble a full sized S.D. card. You gotta be careful to avoid buying something with a download code in the box at times though though. I've been spurned that way on a few purchases.
For example, Final Fantasy X comes on the cart., but then to get X-2 you have to use a redemption code. You get Megaman Legacy Collection on the cart., but Legacy Collection 2 is a D.L.C. redemption code. Sonic Origins comes on the cart., but then the Plus content has a D.L.C. redemption code. It's not terribly common, but companies need to stop this and spring for a higher capacity cartridge, 'cause I don't buy physical copies of games just to have to download content. v_v
This is probably the main reason I am not going to buy Sonic Origins Plus, since officially playable Amy Rose would be pretty awesome.
It doesn't actually come with Zelda though. It just has a zelda inspired design if you don't want plain black.
you can buy the carts 10 years, 20 years from now and play
