Peach Cobbler Recipe
For the Filling:

6 to 8 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
For the Cobbler Topping:

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
1/4 cup boiling water
For Serving (optional):

Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches, sugar, flour, vanilla extract, and cinnamon (if using). Stir well until the peaches are evenly coated. Set aside and let the mixture sit for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Transfer the peach mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

In a separate bowl, prepare the cobbler topping. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Pour the boiling water into the flour mixture and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are fine.

Drop spoonfuls of the cobbler topping over the peaches, spreading it out evenly.

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 40 to 45 minutes, or until the topping turns golden brown and the peach filling is bubbly.

Once done, remove the peach cobbler from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream if desired.

Enjoy your homemade peach cobbler!

'I believe "masculinity" has changed by now from the dark ages; the rules have changed as have the times. Then again, I suppose we all have different definitions of being a "man". :hp_nikki:

These really are not unrealistic. If you have less testosterone than my grandma, it's only your fault.

And it seems to me that your crush just chose a man over you, that's why you started this thread.

in my opinion what makes a man "masculine" is they always be with you and protect you no matter what. toxic masculinity however is less of that and more of dominance and competition which result in a literal fight club

protect you from what? not getting to see the manager?

it's a slippery slope.

As I grew older I learned to control my emotions, as a male I am able to make decisions and females tend to default to passiveness when a man has the ability to get something done, this is coming from someone who thought masculinity was also toxic, it turned out I was amongst some of the worst people no matter which gender.

There are females who are also take charge types but the physical reality is that the majority of males are stronger so if the job is physical, it will be the men outlasting them. With men it is usually mental weakness and being wrapped in cotton wool.

Mental strength wise, I learned a lot from women.
