Being a successful YouTuber or Twitch streamer is a very emotionally demanding.. „job“.
It's certainly not for everyone, and I'd definitely suggest you to find some other way of money incomes.. Because not only this eats even more of your time, it does contain the unnecessary psychological and emotional pressure just because it's a social network in comparison to.. Say, to accountant, for example.

However, if you can't get money in any other way.. It may not be a bad idea to give it a try.
Thing is, our time here is limited, and so you should know beforehand whether it's gonna be worth it or not.
It'll take a few years to get to know the answer, unless you know the answer beforehand due to some more obvious obstacles that do make it impossible..

Being Twitch Streamer is mostly difficult because you're required to be active, follow all the modern and social trends to get popular, you know..

To me, YouTube and Twitch is no different, if we're talking about the necessarities to help you earn enough money for a living and consider it your „job“.
Too difficult, too demanding for what do you get in return.
Oh god
Dont use twitch
That ♥♥♥♥ is on cringe level with tiktok 🗿
Depends on your gender also. Ladies thst are willing to reveal more. Tend to climb the charts faster. For gents you have to produce some attractive content and promotion everywhere.
It was better to create this topic on the "Hardware and OS" forums but to answer your question :

Technically It's not hard, but you need double equipment to start minimalizing. Then you can buy high-end gear with the cash you gain from donations but as I said, starting a standard quality stream needs double the equipment (one for recording the stream and one for playing games) such as :

Two computers, two monitors (one for viewing chats), two Internet modems (one for broadcasting streams and another for playing online games), and a gaming capture card like "Razer" or "Elgato" brand which connects to your stream machine. . . These are the least of needs to start a standard quality streaming, If you can afford them so you are qualified to start streaming right now. . . It's not necessary to start with high-end gears since first and you don't need to be worry about that, You can purchase them later with the money you gain from donations and subscriptions, Even "Ninja" started his career with sitting on a Plastic Chair : https://i.postimg.cc/qvgGLqhw/ninja.jpg

P.S : Streaming is one of my favorite tasks which I'd like to do myself but not as my main job, Only in my free time. . . I wanted to start streaming 5 years ago but I got stuck somewhere in life, But still I will start streaming when I find more free time later.

Basically just stream if you want to share your hobby

Everyone is trying to stream with video games

Do it with music, drawing, or painting. We need a new Renaissance. Really gotta put the AI Art to extreme shame.

The key to being successful on Twitch is to be good at gaming...

I can tell you right now that this part is not true. The part I omitted is true though.

Yes there are lot's of streamers who have top views but their gaming sucks like "Gassy Mexican" who plays different games but he plays casually. . . Also I can mention tons of others like this. . .

If we don't count low view streamers, High views are the ones who stick to only one game like Dota 2 or Warzone or Fortnite etc, Or the ones who play different games but still they suck at it. . . When I compare myself to most of them, I'm better to most of them But I only need to buy equipments and free my time as 2nd job. . .

Even LarryFishburger isn't watched by thousands of people but with his personality, connections to Wildcat, ImMarksman and Dysfunction and even plays with Nadia from time to time, he went from a blip on the radar to having sub counts in the thousands.

It is more about creating a small community network of streamers that like to do fun stuff.

Can't pay for ads on Twitch to get more people watching?
supply and demand, so yeah probably hard.

Easy to start, yes. But to get an audience that is a waiting game.
correct. unless you have a nice idea. like epic meal time had back in the days. i would say there is enough space for a niche creator to grow BUT

YOU HAVE TO BE ENTERTAINING

nobody cares about gameplay without mic or cam. you have to provide some value to the viewer.

True, there are a lot of streamers who have top views but their gaming sucks like "Gassy Mexican" who plays different games but he plays casually. . . Also I can mention tons of others like this. . .

If we don't count low-view streamers, high-view streamers are the ones who stick to only one game like Dota 2 or Warzone or Fortnite etc, Or the ones who play different games but still they suck at it. . . When I compare myself to most of them, I'm better than most of them But I only need to buy equipment and make my time free as a second job to start streaming.

Personally, I compare my skills with "Shroud" and "Jackfraqs", Shroud was really strong in CSGO and PUBG but his few Rainbow Six and COD experiences were medium and lower than mine.

Same as "Jackfraqs" when you see his live streams, He dies too much compared to his uploaded videos because he cuts his deaths in there. I still don't play Battlefield 2042 or Warzone 2, but back then when he was playing Battlefield 4 or BF1 or BFV or old COD games, his K/D was close to mine(Sometimes higher or lower), and I always compared mine to his K/D. . .

Also, "Radbrad" is the king of YouTube walkthroughs but I prefer "MkIceAndFire" because MK uploads full-walkthroughs in a single video and also plays old games as well !!

"Mrfreeze2244" is one of my other favorite YouTubers because we both love the HITMAN series, However he plays very cleanly but he is not a speedrunner. . .
Not really. I didn't say be the best. But you should be good. No one watches streamers trying to figure out easy ♥♥♥♥ to figure out or the boomer gamers. Unless that's their entire "schtick."

Grow a pair of tits you can show off and you'll be set. If you can't do that you'll just have to get lucky because that's the only other way to get a following.
