Why is there a double standard with violence or sex?

It's called a double standard, violence and mayhem is OK because that's what that is but anything risque runs the risk of ruining the children and we have to keep everyone puritanical at all costs no exceptions...

But why is the violence OK but not the sex?

Both violence and sex are bogeyman used by parents to avoid taking responsibility for their failure to parent.

Parents would rush to blame these things when their kids didn't turn out exactly like them, because they need a scapegoat rather than accepting that their kids aren't them.

It's the same reason weed was demonized, because it was a convenient scapegoat for why hippies were hippies and not clones of their parents. All about blaming anyone but themselves.

As a European-American, I see both sides of the issue.

America is(more like was) a protestant Christian country. American Protestant Christianity has a very islamic/jewish approach to sex. It's taboo. That's why ya'll circumcise your newborn males when they're born. To prevent masturbation; aka sin. American Protestantism descends from a weird combination of puritanism and orthodoxy. The complete rejection of aesthetics and beauty. In favor of the idea of god. Leaving nothing but a nation of ideologues. Sex is the most beautiful act. But when the penis is mutilated, the man can not achieve proper climax through sex, And either fills his soul with foul sexual acts and more extreme kinks. Or he fills it with violence.

Europe is traumatized from WW2. Simple as. They dont want another war on their soil and do everything in their power to suppress violent tendencies. They ban guns, self defense and any form of aggression. To the point where they attempt to ban truth itself. When righteous violence is suppressed the only outlet becomes sexual pleasure. And anything that enhances that pleasure, Drugs, alcohol, etc is allowed. However that also leads the european to fill his desire for violence with more disgusting and disturbing sexual rituals, because only then is violence allowed during sexual acts as a release. Sadly the lack of righteous violence outside of sex, leaves Europe weak and open to hostile foreign invaders.

Tldr America is violent because the man can not achieve proper sexual release due the crime of circumcision committed against him at ♥♥♥♥♥ and he turns to violence. Europe is scared of violence and allow its citizens to become sexual degenerates to supplant that need for violence. Leaving europe open to invasion.

The solution was known over a hundred years ago. Do not circumcise men. And allow men to practice righteous violence.

Murder is still illegal and discouraged, suicide attempts are stopped and will get you institutionalized in most countries, the legality of euthanasia varies from country to country but is strictly regulated where it is legal, and, in addition to all of that, there are numerous safety standards regulations for everything from consumer products to the workplace.

If depopulation was actually a goal of those with power, you wouldn't have so many barriers in place. What you would expect to see is something more akin to China's former one child policy and the resultant social effects (and/or China's lax standards for public safety - historically and comparatively speaking that is).

It's not just religion in the US. I think there's enough sex in shows as is.

Stuff like the Witcher show, to me, prove that people are being forced to do it for fame as well. It's that whole "Do it" and get the job or don't do it and don't get the job. It's disgusting.

Many women have early roles with nudity and then after getting more famous they stop. It's exploitation.

There are websites you can go to for your sexual desires. It doesn't need to be in shows. Shows are for telling and illustrating stories. There are plenty of sexual ones for people to get their kicks.
