Ah, so maybe something cultural in Europe and the US.
Why deprive yourself from eating such a delicious animal?
Used to eat them plenty back in the other town by buying from not religiously restricted reputables and now it's harder here, now we live in more of a rural religious here in Israel.
Or vegetables high in iron. For protein you can do dairy, eggs, nuts, and legumes (beans).
Liver is the best source of iron and vitamins, IMO.
The same L-Carnitine that is of more concern to heart than cholesterol is.
even spam SPAM tastes god-like and that's considering it's a canned meat. Almost all canned meat cept beef jerky tastes like absolute crap
In hindsight why Veganism fails, because they're lacking iron materials and requiring special tablets and products. Which is very expensive and not worth it.
Although, consumption of any of these red meats are completely personal preference. Personally, I love pork. A good roast is amazing.
Smoked sausages and wieners are quite plausible as well, but the religiously approved alternatives here taste like crap, so i stick to the UA/RU shops as we have here, or religion free ones.
Braunschweiger is the best, even if it's usually pork.
Mix it with ricotta and pipe it into cannelloni and smother with good marinara and shredded jarlsberg cheese and bake. <3
