I would say yes, a lot of networks are realizing this as well as they move towards netflix-like platforms. As the older generations die off you'll see more and more cable companies put all their cards in being ISP's instead of landline phone and cable services.

I have free air TV, dont you guys have that too in your countries??
Actually a lot of countries don't.
I Stream off the internet and we just use digital TV (free to air).
I'm still surprised people still buy DVDs and Blurays (and yes, I know some people are collectors or want copies handy).
Yes i have cable TV. Mostly watch Discovery and Channel 10

I prefer buying a DVD/BRD and knowing I can watch something rather then just hoping whoever owns it doesn't pull it from whatever streaming service I pay for. Also they are one-time purchases while if you stop paying for streaming you loose the ability to watch it.
is cable tv still alive...? that's my question. I haven't watched normal TV in like 7 years

i live and breathe Youtube. fall asleep with it playing every night
I haven't watch on the ground cable tv for a long time. We got cellphones, tv is just another expense.
