We do fry a lot of foods.

But if you learn to cook, a lot of food every where is fried. Maybe not DEEP fried. But it's all got oil and fried in some manner.

We also have a lot of food that isn't fried.

Some popular that aren't fried dishes...

Chicken and Dumplings
Bacon Lettuce Tomato (BLT)
Barbeque - Which is a HUGE category and many dishes.
Chili with Beans or just chili
Chicken Pot Pie or any Pot Pie.

Lots more... these are just the ones you can pretty much find everywhere in the US.
I cook a lot of my own food and rarely fry. In the US.

You're talking about fast food pretty much in most countries, not just the US.

Outback Steakhouse is garbage btw...

What? There is a lot of foods from around the world here! With our own flair! The closest I got to something fried this month was air fried fries.

And I know LOTS of people that make amazing food, none fried. Well... That is a lie. You do have to wok fry some Chinese food.

:fsmeh:

Oh, I'm kidding. Some stuff is just too good fried. I love fried fish, all beer battered. The only way I eat shrimp is fried.

And don't even get me started on the Blooming Onion. That SOB is frigging amazing! I even have all the stuff to make my own. Some that orange horse radish sauce. I'm lucky I am not The Blob.
No, you’re thinking of Spain, Portugal, France, and India.

The US just absorbed a lot of their food cultures, along with everyone else’s.

There’s a lot of fried food because people like fried food and it sells.
How German cuisine works:

If we can jam it into a sausage casing, we don't eat it.
Well the blooming onion did originate in the US so it is unironically American Cusine. :steammocking:

Spam is also Underrated
Canned salt pork is norweigan.

Spam is just a brand of canned salt pork. The mythical spices it contains are just different kinds of salt and preservatives.

It’s like saying new york invented corned beef.
