As opposed to remakes of antique NES games (All-Stars), and an outsourced 2D sidescrolling platformer that even the series own creator didn't like (DKC)?
(And yes, it's strictly 2D. They just used higher quality sprites, but that's all)
Stop posting those same 3 songs!
Aquatic was plain and basic, just fill the space and leaves. Nothing more.
Stickerbrush wasn't even originally for that stage. It was going to be the underwater song before Aquatic replaced it.
Gangplank is okay, but it wasn't until Smash Bros version that it became good.
I know! That's starting to get on my nerves.
He could at least try other games in the library.
Is that why it was limited to 1 channel playback with doubling for stereo?
Dynamite Heddy

Surely you realize how annoying it is to constantly have to scroll past the same 3 songs posted 5 times
These flagship nintendo games struggle to compete with borderline noname genesis games.
More children have heard of dynamite heddy than played dkc or the most disappointing mario game.
I’m sorry; in recent polls where children were showb footage of each game dynamite heddy was almost 70% more popular.
By recently I mean 2014. Idk where the study is anymore.
Not sure where you heard that??
The snes had 8 channels of pcm sample playback and the selection of onboard samples were more suited for a general palette of sounds.
Don't get me wrong by todays standards the snes sounds like a cheap home keyboard and the megadrive sound chip can do lots of interesting synthesis and in the right hands could sit well in experimental and electronic music but it's not the general purpose synth that people wanted in 1990 fm technology was considered old hat.
You sound a little bias towards the megadrive I might add the commodore amiga sound chip only had 4 channels but blows both the megadrive and the snes out the water
The snes could not mix channels and instead played 8 bit sounds one on each channel. It’s a mono chip lacking even the most basic audio framework. It’s outclassed by a grammophone.
The amiga chip is strictly inferior to the genesis, but there was a culture of interested developers.
Nintendo sniped most of the devs SEGA was training on their dev environment and then forced them to use their 8-key playskool piano instead.
