8 Hour Arm Workout
Rich Piana claimed his 8 hour arm workout can add an inch to your arms in a single day. The aim of the workout is to complete 128 sets on your arms in 8 hours.

I had two hours at the gym today so I thought I would try to do half of it in 2 hours. I failed, after an hour and a half I stopped because my form was getting bad, I completed 54 sets, 10 sets short of the target using weights of 55 lbs. I used light weights because I have never tried it before and I wasn't going to stand around resting for 2 hours.

Had anyone else tried this? Did you complete it? Is it too much? Does it give results for natty lifters?

What are your thoughts on it?

I suspect that the only way any workout can add an inch in a single day is from inflammation.

seems like a great way to injure myself. I prefer to lift a whole lot like 85kgs on bench presses, but only around 30-40 times and that's it for the session. Muscles grow from regeneration from nutrients filling in the micro-tears created by working-out, so a work-out won't add an inch to your arm, rather the food will and if the work-out does then that's worrying because whatever you summoned upon yourself sure as ♥♥♥♥ isn't muscle.

I got an extra half inch from the pump, going from 16.5 inches to just over 17, but that was probably lost again an hour later.

i think this is a fairy tale. UNLESS> you are taking Rich Piana's stack. (hammer what do you mean by stack? I mean anabolic steroids+ others required.)

his stack killed him by the way. His brain started swelling, and his cardiovascular system and heart were on its last legs. if the brain swell didn't kill him, the heart disease would have.

Testosterone and other schedule 4 drugs which can have an improvement on physical performance are also very dangerous and riddled with side effects. hence why they're restricted.

I'm pretty sure, really, that his arms would have gained that if he was just doing a simple 1 or 2 hr weight session, eating what was required and with good sleep at night.

all of that aside. if you are in peak physical condition, minus the drugs and eating correctly, you can go do weights a couple times a day if you're in your 20's and 30's, but you won't gain an inch on your arms or anything.

the body repairs the damage at a certain rate, testosterone and the anabolics he was taking speed up the rate of repair, that's how his muscles grew so fast.

if you exceed the rate of repair, that's how the injuries / overtraining symptoms start. your body will stop you.

rich's body didn't stop him because the drugs turn off those feedback loops.

Why would you want to do that

and you continued to give this your legitimate consideration?

let me just seriously tell you that's not a thing your body does... so if it's a thing it's not a thing you want.

Why not? I like a challenge.

"To prepare for this workout Rich suggests taking 2-days completely off before attempting the 8-hour arm workout. Rich also suggests that having a huge breakfast the morning before the workout on top of that you need 16 shakes one after every mini-workout, consisting of little protein, simple sugars, and carbs."

Then again, "he was sponsored by some supplement company. Hence the 16 shakes."

"You'll end up with tendonitis, bruising, and maybe rhabdo."

"Piana abused drugs throughout his lifting career, ultimately leading to his death. Be wary of any training gimmikcs posted by him. He didnt get back from training alone . . ."

FFS...

Reading the body building forums make sit sound much worse.

idk why "working out" is a mystery... people have been doing is so long there's actually mythology about how to build your muscles.

there are legends going back millenia about people carrying animals as they grow gaining un-parrallelled phisique(fu, I'm not spell checking this.).

you've been told literally by the greeks and champions of the collosium how to become "stronk"... idk why everyone needs to re-invent it every decade.

In a single day? Not gonna buy that.

Synthol injections.

Besides that, no, working your arms for 8hrs straight isn't going to do that because that's not how muscles repair/build themselves.
