Should I spend $700 on 2 figurines?

Help me make this heavy decision because I have a headache. I want these 2 figurines from one of my favorite games but they sell for around $200.. I found 2 of them (the only ones on the entire internet that I can find) and they're going to cost around $350 a piece by the time tax and shipping are finished.

These figures were released over 10 years ago and there has been extremely limited merch for the game since then. HELPPPPPPP THEY'RE JUST SITTING IN MY CART!!


I have the extra money technically but money would be tight for the rest of the month... but I also may never get the chance to get this figurines again!!

My responsibilities come first! I have already paid rent for the month, have enough money for food regardless if I get these figurines, have enough money for gas and work from home so dont need to leave for anything.. I just *could* purchase a lot of other smaller stuff, go out to eat more frequently this month or just generally have extra spending money if I didn't purchase.

The money would be made back in less than 2 weeks with my current income but I feel guilty spending so much on figurines! I do already have a collection but nothing AS nice as these specific figures.

Just so very unsure but I do LOVE the game and it would bring me lots of joy to look at everyday! Just soo conflicted!!!

I agree with most of you, it's a CRAZY amount of money for two figurines!! I just love the game so much and the merchandise is incredibly limited... it's so rare!! These are definitely selling for close to the resale I would be purchasing them for.. I'd probably lose money trying to resale them quick if I ever did.. but I probably would never sell them!

so you already have paid everything.
-say you bought those figurines, and some expenses hit you like a broken leg, or car accident..
could you weather that storm even after you bought them?
-> if yes you can buy them
-> if no, that is a nope.. do not expose yourself to that possibility.

They are being *watched* by lots of people on the ebay site as well. I've also seen on collector sites how desperately people have been looking for these specific figurines!

U only live once and money comes and goes so I say spend it because u can't take it eith u when ur gone, and u don't want to regret not buying them and dwindling on the past and what could have been.

so other than you always SHOULD be able to weather anything life trows at you financially.. (good bookkeeping) your disposable income is yours to do with as you please.

if buying that two figurines gives you more joy than any other way of spending or saving 700 dollar would.. that who are we to say no.

**by spending time, money, etc on aquirement of something, you give up opportunity that now never can be used to aquire something else.
**you should try to get the most out of all opportunity you spend.

I would consider resale value and the popularity of the game.

do 5 new games give you more joy than 2 figurines would?
-you might loose out on those games... as they are pulled from the store
-or you might be able to buy them at a discount later
either way.. you wont play them for quite a while..

Always prepare for the future. If you get in a car wreck and it's not your fault how you going to repair your car till the insurance goes through or what if the person who hit you has no insurance so you are stuck for the full repair bill.

5 new games don't give me that much joy for sure so I think you gave me my answer!

Speaking of games, I just purchased an original copy of Rule of Rose from my local game shop last week! This is the main reason I'm conflicted on spending extra money on these figurines. I already was hesitant on buying that game and then saw the figurines a week after!
