Just found out today that Tumbleweed is a living plant
I always though tumbleweed was just bits of brush or sticks that stuck together and rolled around in the wind. In popular pop culture, you always see them rolling around in cowboy movies.

Just surfing internet over something else and tumbleweed popped up in the search, I had a quick look and to my surprise, it turns out to be living plant that grows and seeds. From what I can gather, it's not even native to america unlike what western movies would tell you.

We don't have tumbleweed in the UK from what I know and you know, you learn something new everyday.

We have em in Australia. I've seen some as large as a small car. And yes before they tumble they are a green living plant. When they are ready to spread their seeds they dry out and break away from the root system. Being round, dense and light they tumble relatively easy In the wind. as they do the seeds are dispersed wherever the tumbleweed goes.

Didn't know this. I'm sure many didn't know either. Is this tumbleweed bad for environment, agriculture, cattle, if any?
They have their own gender classification too, like everything else.

Just got back in from work and to answer your question, I don't have a clue. I will need to read up more on this when I have time.

Seriously, I though tumbleweed was just weeds and bush that got stuck together and rolled around the desert... but I love learning something new every week:steamhappy:
Imagine having your entire life based on rng 💀

And if you cycle, be prepared to either patch or have spare tires because you will get a flat all the time.

Just wow,
This is why I moved out of Arizona. I couldn't stand that, the fires, the dust storms and the monsoons (although having downpours at the same time every day in the fall was easy to schedule around and the lightning shows were amazing) but those also caused floodings.

Question and answers like this is when I know the worlds newer educational system is failing us. Absolutely pathetic.

What do you mean? Explain.

Mildly annoying thorns but nothing as bad as a cactus.

Perhaps education system could use some better change. But your statement seems to imply that every educational system must teach people to become tumbleweed experts. And yes, educational system should teach people proper manners.
