Trans Community Harasses Vtuber Pikamee Into Retiring
After the recent popularity of hogwarts legacy, many streamers from all over the internet decided they would love to play a game based on one of the most beloved franchises in the world. Unfortunately the simple act of wanting to play a video game resulted in the trans community and their activists harassing, doxxing and even sending death threats and all kinds of calls to violence to those who desired to play this game.

Many streamers have been targeted over this from vtubers to non vtubers alike (another example is the harassment Silvervale faced). Streamers who have done nothing wrong viciously harassed all in the name of "tolerance". One such victim was Pikamee, a popular vtuber who was just coming back from a break and wanted to play the hogwarts game in a return stream. Not even playing the game yet and only merely talking about the desire and possibility to play it, resulted in her being maliciously attacked by the trans community and their activists doing many horrible things as well as accusing her of many things as well. This resulted in her graduating (retiring) due to the abuse she was getting. Pikamee has never hurt anyone and has always tried to be one the nicest people out there and that truly makes this sad.

This person as well as many others have been targeted and horribly harassed and as a result this event has sparked major discussions on how the trans communities abusive behavior, harassment, canceling campaigns and more are a major problem that needs to end. This has been an ongoing trend for a while now with many subjects with the community always acting like a victim after in an attempt to excuse their behavior.

What is everyone else's thoughts on the horrible harassment and death threats streamers and frankly anyone who supports Harry Potter are facing right now?

Does “expressing their outrage” include the right to send messages to fans of Hogwarts Legacy telling them that they hope they die for playing the game, and that they’re going to mark it in their calendar so that they can wish that upon the person every day?

Because that’s what this guy at 9:18 did.

Wow. One guy,

So you feel justified in defending JK Rowling's right to not be critizied because one person on the TRA side got as bad as the average person talking about gender on the BBC?

That's why this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thread is just transpgobia, pure and simple.
Nothing about this thread is transphobic and nobody is defending jk Rowling, people are defending streamers just wanting to play the game and saying harassment is bad.

Yet you are constantly defending the harassment, death threats and more even saying it's morally right to do so just because streamers are playing a game based off the ip jk made. None of these streamers are doing anything to attack anyone and just want to play a game.

Yet when called out on this fact you say transphobia and try to play the victim.

question. if trans people kill someone and get executed, is that count as transphobia?

What's unfortunate is there are streamers that wanted to stream the game and use funds to donate to charity groups that actively go out and help the trans community. Because of the bullying faced by other streamers, they backed out which means the fundraising never happened.

Twelve million copies sold isn't as many as 81 million votes, but it's a good start.

Bullies found something they think they won't get in trouble bullying over. It's still bullying. Two wrongs don't make a right.

But, who else thinks this isn't really the trans community still? Like they've got to realize how bad they are looking right now and this is probably just people trolling to make them look even worse.

how is that possible? everyone playing that game now. 12 copies been sold. the game made 1 billion in two weeks.
so these trans people are still attacking content creators? i think they gave up. i think its a scripted attack made by that Vtuber to get attention. trans are innocent in this one.
I don't want to know about this case, but there has been an excrucio-iating amount of baiting and trolling over this. The actual Hogwart's forum was useless. So much opportunity right now for the terminally online looking for some virtue signaling or pity points.
not only on the game forum but also on YouTube everyone is getting harassed. even some small channels with 3k subs are also targeted for some reason. trans people have a lot free time to harass everyone on the internet.

So if trans give statement, "Trans can do everything they want, including harassing people, or even kill them, because we're Trans", then we must agree or else we're transphobic, well I guess I'm transphobic.

It's unfortunate that these idiots are making the community look bad.

If the trans community doesn't want to be seen as mentally ill and unstable, then they should refrain from attacking people for something as stupid as considering to play a video game. Attacking people over Harry Potter is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

This type of toxic BS isn't something a rational person would support.

People should be able to feel safe and comfortable being themselves. That goes for the trans community, of course, but also to people that feel like playing Hogwarts Legacy. This isn't the way to be heard or get any kind of support.

i agree, i think this minority of ppl who are just really really aggressive, over smth as inane as harry potter too btw, mind you, and; it is just really really irritating to look at. it makes ppl just think that all trans ppl actually act like that, which of course isn't true at all.

bullying ppl for stupid reasons like that is just going to make other ppls think your group is full of just crazy and really mean ppls and stuff, and its going to look really really bad for everyone in those groups.

its the same as twitter/tiktok/whatever, crooks, who acts deeply toxic, and awful, with the things they say and the stuff they do. /:

First of all, but if you make your career streaming and strike it large, then you have to be able to bear with the possibility of harassment from the internet at large from time to time. This is not the first time there has been controversy surrounding a popular streamer, and it will not be the last. It is a bit of a shame that she was harassed, and especially so when you consider it was done by a community of people that used to seek out and beg for mere tolerance and extol its virtues and doubly so when you consider that it is probably not as if Rowling would get royalty revenue from the streams anyway rendering this ineffectual to the boycott efforts, but thems the breaks.

Second of all, It might not actually due to the harassment she received over playing Hogwarts Legacy. It seems as if she may have been planning to retire before Hogwarts Legacy was even announced for her to be harassed over it.[www.msn.com] The timing of the announcement is just coincidental if that is the case, and she does not mention the controversy in the announcement as a reason for retiring.

Bit of a shame that she's going I guess. I don't usually really watch VTubers 'cause it's neither real nor fictional enough to appeal to my desire to watch either sort of content, but she had a cutesy setup going there for a while based upon what little incidental exposure I got. The whole kettle persona was also relatively unique.

At any rate, any would be internet archivists have until the end of the month to try and save any of her uploaded content before it gets nuked like any other retired VTuber's stuff. It's also the last call for any merch purchases for anybody who wants her stuff.

Incidentally, I kinda hate that retired V-tubers just get all of their stuff nuked. It's going to be a huge archaeological loss, and for what purpose? It's not like youtube charges a hosting fee for videos uploaded to it, is it? I bet it pertains to view counter based royalty distributions stipulated in the contract.
