Trans Community Harasses Vtuber Pikamee Into Retiring
After the recent popularity of hogwarts legacy, many streamers from all over the internet decided they would love to play a game based on one of the most beloved franchises in the world. Unfortunately the simple act of wanting to play a video game resulted in the trans community and their activists harassing, doxxing and even sending death threats and all kinds of calls to violence to those who desired to play this game.

Many streamers have been targeted over this from vtubers to non vtubers alike (another example is the harassment Silvervale faced). Streamers who have done nothing wrong viciously harassed all in the name of "tolerance". One such victim was Pikamee, a popular vtuber who was just coming back from a break and wanted to play the hogwarts game in a return stream. Not even playing the game yet and only merely talking about the desire and possibility to play it, resulted in her being maliciously attacked by the trans community and their activists doing many horrible things as well as accusing her of many things as well. This resulted in her graduating (retiring) due to the abuse she was getting. Pikamee has never hurt anyone and has always tried to be one the nicest people out there and that truly makes this sad.

This person as well as many others have been targeted and horribly harassed and as a result this event has sparked major discussions on how the trans communities abusive behavior, harassment, canceling campaigns and more are a major problem that needs to end. This has been an ongoing trend for a while now with many subjects with the community always acting like a victim after in an attempt to excuse their behavior.

What is everyone else's thoughts on the horrible harassment and death threats streamers and frankly anyone who supports Harry Potter are facing right now?

Okay, and does making a huge stink over JK Rowling who has always supported the LGQBT movement make sense if you don't want to see more harassment?
I know you are trolling, but i am too heated to not take the bait atm. Rowling does NOT support trans rights. In fact, she actively went against the new pro-trans laws being passed in Scotland.. a country where she should have no say in on what they do.
She also lobbies politicians to legislate against trans people. Britain is called TERF Island for a reason.. because their queen lives there. Queen being Rowling.
She's rejecting the ideology without actually being against trans-folks. Think of it like Blaire White. She's transgender and yet rejects much of the "established" ideology of the transgender community. Blaire White being transgender is hardly transphobic, she just has different opinions.

No wonder they retired Ash.

the vast majority of the "harassment" was people pointing out that jk rowling is a raging transphobe, and that you can't call yourself an ally if you willingly give her money and her game advertisement
This is just a lie, there have been so many campaigns of harassment, attempts to cancel and straight up death threats for just playing a Harry Potter game.

LOL, I mean seriously people supporting Hogwarts or rather JK Rowling, what dangerous message are you endorsing if peoplewanted to buy the game to endorse JK Rowlin that's hurting the trans-community. "Women have periods, not people, and that we need to support the trans- and gay community" Oh...I see that is indeed worthy of all this drama.
more like "trans people are predatory vermin that spread through social contagion", or "trans people are delusional fool who think hormones will cure their depression"
how about "trans people are invading women's spaces and staring at your children while they change"
maybe even matt walsh's opinions on the subject, a person whom jk rowling endorses, a self-proclaimed theocratic fascist whose entire platform these days seems to be focused on anti-trans rhetoric based on lies and mischaracterizations

also no, you can't claim to support the trans community if you then claim that only women have periods— trans men and afab enbies can easily have them too, and trans women don't have them (at least not the actual discharge)

Playing the game isn't giving her money. The money has already been given from when development started. That also wasn't a 'vast majority' of what happened.

It's one thing to call Rowling a transphobe, it's another thing to directly attacking people for playing a game because she created the universe it is based in.
actually, no, she does get money in the form of royalties

and even if she didn't, the success of the games still gives her validation, since "people don't care that i'm a raging transphobe and antisemite, so i can keep going"
So just because she gets royalties from the game it's okay for people to harass those who want to play a game from one of the most popular franchises in the world?

The trans-community is NOT a monolith my friend, people are allowed to think of their own opinions that vary from the establishment.
I want to know why these upset feelings don't extend to other ideas. I've seen transgender folks with Ukraine flags in their bio...it's like my friend I have some bad news for you if you're upset about JK Rowling.

Unless the royalties are per sale and not a lump sum, she isn't making money from the game. The sale of the game doesn't validate her anymore than the sale of anything based on Lovecraftian horror validates some of the horrible stuff he said(and later took back) in his ealier life.

I can see why she is called a transphobe. She is not an anti-semite.

That isn't what is happening. When people talk about having a thick skin is in reference to seeing something that may not be necessarily directed at whoever is taking offense to it.

It isn't about having to take hundreds of people constantly harassing, threatening, or insulting you for choosing to play a game they may not like regardless of what they represent.

There are trans people actively coming out against this as well not only because it only creates animosity towards the community but it has also prevented donation streams(Hasan almost did one) that would've put a lot of money directly into organizations that help the community.
...Oh, right! Of course it's a different thing. When QAnon and "based" individuals raid someone on Twitter with hundreds in numbers, call queers the p word etc. that's just snowflakey behavior when they respond and react. But when some trans community individuals (tiny fraction btw) raid someone, the person that is raided is suddenly a victim.

I don't defend either of those cases, I just think it's rather hypocritical. Either we think that people should have "thick skin" against criticism or attacks or we view people who are attacked in masses as victims. You shouldn't have it both ways and zigzag depending on what the political message itself happens to be.

All form of harrasment coming from one side or another is bad

I think that many people don't act on the Harassement that some trans people get because they are not directly affected by it if they don't have Trans Freinds or Trans videographer they like

While harassing public figure or freinds of them make them act because it affect them directly

Let's be honest here. Nobody would even care about this stuff if it couldn't be used as ammunition against trans people.

People online get harassed, threatened and doxxed all the time and you never hear or care about those. But suddenly this is a big deal cause the word "trans" is involved.

Where was the massive outrage when streamers get raided by racists? Damn. Silence. No outrage mobs going after the racists. Nah.

A trans person MIGHT be involved? Get this outrage mob on the road. Pull out the boiling pitch and the pitchforks, this needs to be answered for NOW!

A lot of people would still care even if the harrassment wasn't related to Trans people, because as a Streamer Pikamee was a public figure, if she got harassed by some Right-Wingers, people would have acted against those Right-Wingers
some what they call trans rights are against women rights. lets be honest for once.
this movement is against women. if you are good trans person you have to protect women from this insanity. if you are good trans person this is not the right time to ask for radical changes. this is the right time to team up with good trans people and fight the bad and insane ones until you win. all women in the world will support you.

There are laws in place for things that can be shown to be credible threats to one's life or safety. Or credible calls to violent/illegal action. There aren't laws(and shouldn't be) for throwing insults or offensive speech at a person.

Even this situation does not change my stance on that because I know how slippery that slope is and how quickly it can turn on those who feel those laws would protect them.
So then you should also think that people should be able to take those insults and offensive speech, and not quit platforms because of it? If there aren't legal prohibitions to it.

Including the person who was harassed by the "trans activists".

Nope.

There shouldn't need to be a law to prohibit you from doing something for you to not do it.

"I may not like what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."
Hocus pocus, abrakadabra, bibidi babidi bu, Hogwarts Legacy is just a video game and you should see it as that too.

I remember when Twitch was getting raided by racists, some streams got pulled offline because of it, and the whole thing was a fart in the wind.
Even Asmongold made a video about it and people in the comments were mostly memeing about how funny and "based" it was.
How come unironic racists raiding streamers and getting their streams pulled by the algorithm not as big a deal as this?

Trans people get 5x the hate any other group in the world gets. Not even neo-nazis get shat on as hard as trans people do.

strange, despite having looked through the like, two instances of vtubers being "harassed" for playing hogwarts legacy, i still haven't been able to see the "massive harassment campaigns" you speak of

at worst a few insulated cases of people being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but most of what people have been calling "harassment" has been people pointing out that buying the game funds an antisemitic transphobe and that you can't be an ally and a hl player at the same time

with that i meant that it validates her in her views, regardless of whether or not the people consuming the media she owns actively agree or not

I can see why she is called a transphobe. She is not an anti-semite.
you might wanna look up the way she portrayed goblins, and the way they were portrayed in the movies

Those laws were a danger to women, and she had every right to stand up for it. The Scottish leader has stepped down now, as even she couldn’t defend this gaslighting so publicly. It was also stated that ‘TERF’ is a derogatory slur used by people who wish to shame women who won’t do their bidding. It can be actioned upon as a hate crime/incident in the UK, as it is used to primarily attack women. She is pro-trans, no matter what gaslighting you try to commit on people. She just isn’t an idiot and recognises that some people are purposely trying to gain unfettered access to the safe spaces of women. Those against JK are dangerous misogynists hiding behind good sounding causes to spew their own hate, dressed up as being tolerant, while actively supporting death threats towards women, like someone else in here.

Wouldn't that also mean having a thick skin against such offensive speech and insults? I mean, that's all I'm asking.

Since from the standpoint of law, the trans activists did nothing wrong, the VTuber is in fault here for quitting over mean tweets
