Nope, simply an observation. It's vain. I couldn't care less what a woman's breasts look like. But if they put so much focus on it that they'd risk medical problems to chase what they feel is an ideal, then I'll pass.
For one thing it is a bit of a crapshoot as to whether they will look and feel natural or not, and when the breasts do not look natural they look less appealing than they did originally. Judging by this before and after comparison[www.huffpost.com], I feel like Heidi Montag was prettier before her plastic surgery than she was after it for example.Granted, some of that might be magazine magic, and how appealing a woman looks before and after the procedure is something that is going to vary on a case by case basis, but it is always a bit of a shame when the results diminish a woman's beauty rather than enhance it.
Also, it is not just the looks or even the feel of a breast, but what it suggests about a woman's character to have the procedure done.
Since it is a bit of a crapshoot anyway, getting unnecessary breast augmentation suggests poor risk management skills, and the explanation we hear that women get breast implant surgery for themselves to bolster self confidence implies that girls who have breast implants have self-confidence issues. Granted, you can not count that last bit against them too much since self-image perception does have a bit of a role in everybody's self-confidence and how others perceive you as well, but an obvious boob job might signal too much of a valuation on body-image, and more importantly is still a visual clue-in I might use to try and assess a woman's character before I decide to approach her.
Speaking of visual clue-ins, an obvious breast job also suggests that a woman is going to be high maintenance due to the expense of the procedure. It can cost up to $12,000.
Fun fact: If you earn $15 per hour, it will take 666.666 working hours to earn $12,000 (before taxes). Is that why lust is one of the seven deadly sins? Seems like an awful lot of trouble. And aside from all of that, if she opts for silicone implants there are significant health risks if they start leaking. Granted, saline is safer, but the flip side of that is is that saline is less naturalistic.
Also, it is not just a one time procedure. The F.D.A. recommends replacing the implants every 10 years. So the actual cost is going to be more like $50,000 (not accounting for inflation) over the course of 40 years.
Granted, many of these assertions could be wrong, but the problem is that there are far more women than a person could reasonably get to know on a deep and personal level even just in their personal vicinity. If you live in a big city like New York or London, then there are about 9 million people living there, and 4.5 million of them, more or less, are female. I couldn't begin to tell you how many of those are datable adults, but it's pretty safe to say that it's still way too many to give a fair shot, and if all I have to go by is whether or not a woman has breast implants, well, there you go.
Eh, everybody has their laundry list of desirable traits in an ideal mate. The question for most people is going to be which pragmatic compromises are they willing to make to be in a relationship in consideration of the fact that nobody is perfect.
I feel like cheating is going to be a pretty big no from most people though, but that's another subject altogether and we have other threads dedicated to that.
It implies that they are egotistical or self indulgent a little too much
She was just a sweet person.
I don't agree that breast implants = self-centered.
The idea that a person is being self-centered by altering something they are uncomfortable about themselves with is ridiculous. It's crazy.
People are allowed to focus on themselves and make changes without it always being about you.
And breasts.
Seethe.
Kings wait for someone worthy
Probably not... but sometimes it's hard to tell....
Agree... natural is always best...
