What a stunning company
Online? Hot steaming garbage, using the assets from the masterpieces.
The Steam version let me add the newest DLSS 2.5.1 dll, which the Rockstar launcher version doesn't. Unfortunately the Steam version also introduced audio crackling, which I fixed by changing the in-game buffer options and the bitrate in Windows settings.
But no more Rockstar Launcher is wonderful.
like Fifa from EA has no competition. people forced to play Fifa, some of them hate Fifa but they cant quit.
i wish Ubisoft all success because they have all the tools to compete against Rock star games.
i am very excited for GTA 6 but also afraid it going to have the same online system peer to peer with no real servers. which is very unsafe.
minecraft is a game for kids which treats you like an adult and gives you a ton of tools.
rockstar makes games for adults but treats you like a kid and gives you zero tools and forces you to play a single way.
edit: oh and the lack of anti cheat on their online. you can go and cheat on any rockstar game any time you want without any repercussions. they were manually penalizing people at one point, but that stopped after a year or so.
any dev that brings a game to online where pvp can be involved and doesn't have an anti cheat - instant dead game.

Agree.... Online is not good...
I was talking about how well they make games that stand aloof.
The singleplayer GTA 5 was a work of art, and the online is just a cynical money grab.
The art -- the assets, the scenery, the city and whole map -- was wasted by not making at least two more entire games in the same setting, like they did with Lost and the Damned, and Ballad of Gay Tony. Like they did with old Liberty City and Vice City.
It's a sad shame, really, what could have been done with that city in singleplayer, in all these years since. It's like a city building an amazingly detailed Olympic stadium and Olympic village, using it for the Olympic Games one year, and then never using it, ever again, and letting it erode to ruin. You want to enjoy it still? Watch the 20xx Olympics on DVD. Again. And Again. The same f&&&&&& Olympics.
We live in the wrong timeline. This one sucks.
Come to think of it, they could have made two more entire games inside the vast, beautiful set of Red Dead Redemption 2, as well. But no. It was "single use". Like a paper plate.
They lost a lot of respect with me for not releasing singleplayer add-ons for GTA:V and RDR2 whilst simultaneously screwing the modding community multiple times and making their respective Online modes cheater-infested IP-leaking grindfests.
Their history with (self-)censorship isn't speaking for them either.
Now that the original creative leads have left, I don't think there's much good but luke-warm raked up garbage coming from that company.
