How come Rockstar is way ahead of any AAA game-making company?

They make one game every 5-7 years, but when they make it, dear lord, it becomes a benchmark for other games.

They know,

• the elements on making a good game (engaging gameplay, best plot, fluid game mechanics, alive environment etc.)
  
• the implementation to make a game as realistic as possible.
  
• how to cover a target audience
  
• how to consistently be really good

I cant stop wondering.

First you should know that we can't say Rockstar Games is best gaming company, Though it is best for me and also it's best for those who like realistic games. . . But there are other great companies for different tastes as well for example Blizzard and Bethesda are best for RPG fans or Square Enix can be best for Anime fans and etc. . .

Second what Rockstar Games are you talking about ??? This company made nearly 10 games in 6th generation : Max Payne 1, Max Payne 2, GTA 3, GTA VC, GTA SA, GTA VC Stories, GTA LC Stories, Bully, Manhunt 1, Manhunt 2 . . .

And made tons of games in 7th generation gaming : Red Dead Redemption, Midnight Club series, GTA Chinatown, GTA IV, GTA IV Expansion, GTA V, L.A Noire, Max Payne 3. .

But only one game has been released in whole of 8th generation which was Red Dead 2 and still after 10 years continue milking GTA Online . . .

Fans expected lot's of things from this company, They cancelled their "Agent" game, We expected Bully 2 which is still a unique IP between every games in the world, It's like a GTA in school game and yet I enjoy playing it not less than GTA series . . .

We expected L.A noire 2 and . . . . But All we get is GTA Online trash contents everyday, Don't mistake my word GTA Online wasn't bad in first couple years, Doing some realistic missions like Lamar and Heists were fun but after 2017 and bringing shark cards, Either further contents and cash grab system ruined everything . . . At least I looked forward to RDR Online but Rockstar cancelled updating it and making any other products for milking a 2013 game until some unaware people spend money on their shark cards !!

This Rockstar we know today is far away than what we used to know dude and also you should know that lot's of key members of employees separated from this company too !!

Nah I don't think so. Red Dead Redemption 2's development sounds like something I wouldn't like be a part of.

I'd be livid. Working over 75 hrs a week sucks doing a physical job.... can't imagine staring at a screen for 90 hrs a week and not going insane.
