What do you think is the hardest game ever? (Touhou: LoLK)

I believe, of all the thousands of games I have played, the hardest of them all or at least one of them, is Touhou 15: Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom.

You either defeat the Lunatic Kingdom, or lose your sanity.

This game has challenge and insane or lunatic levels of insanity of what it expects you to do. This game can be water downed and easy with the checkpoint system that makes the game crazy easier (because its so insane ZUN had to make a whole new game mode so most people could beat it)

This game simply brings levels of challenge that not a single souls game, or the likes of battle toad could ever bring to the table in sheer skill and power, and it genuinely makes me wonder what games out there are harder.

People used to say Subterranean Animism, but now the peaks of LoLK I believe it can't even scratch at. SA and LoLK are definitely games that are up there at the peak. There are bullet hells that are insanely harder in other series, but I believe LoLK actually saught to possibly be one of the hardest ones ever.

It may not be THE hardest game ever, but it is, likely one of the hardest games ever.

I was told in the past that it didnt come from any of them, is it from 4? If so thats good to know because honestly I was told not once, but over 5 times that Bad Apple didnt come from one of the bullet hell Touhous.

The original version of Bad Apple comes from Touhou 4, yeah. It doesn't have lyrics or anything, that's a fan-made rendition of it.

And honestly, it isn't too surprising. Most people start with Touhou 6 and tend to forget 1-5 exist outside of very specific characters (like Mima). They're old PC98 games, so you have to emulate them to get them working on modern hardware but they're pretty neat.

Ok but have you beat sekiro with bell demon, charmless, without getting hit once, ng+7, and by only using weapon arts, and you can only use a weapon art once and you gotta switch to another after using one?
