What do you think is the hardest game ever? (Touhou: LoLK)

I believe, of all the thousands of games I have played, the hardest of them all or at least one of them, is Touhou 15: Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom.

You either defeat the Lunatic Kingdom, or lose your sanity.

This game has challenge and insane or lunatic levels of insanity of what it expects you to do. This game can be water downed and easy with the checkpoint system that makes the game crazy easier (because its so insane ZUN had to make a whole new game mode so most people could beat it)

This game simply brings levels of challenge that not a single souls game, or the likes of battle toad could ever bring to the table in sheer skill and power, and it genuinely makes me wonder what games out there are harder.

People used to say Subterranean Animism, but now the peaks of LoLK I believe it can't even scratch at. SA and LoLK are definitely games that are up there at the peak. There are bullet hells that are insanely harder in other series, but I believe LoLK actually saught to possibly be one of the hardest ones ever.

It may not be THE hardest game ever, but it is, likely one of the hardest games ever.

I have played more games probably than anyone in this thread. From some arcade/atari to old nintendo games to modern day. I would bet on it, but all I know is I am certain that this is the hardest game i have ever played.

I’m gonna make a game so hard that if you die in it once you have to buy the game again. And it’s the full price of 70 dollars and it will never go on sale.

Edit: Oh yeah… just to make it harder you can also die in the tutorial.
