Is Rick & Morty dead?

In case you haven't heard the creator and guy who voices both Rick and Morty has just been cancelled for domestic abuse, yes in true modern fashion he is immediately considered guilty and his life is destroyed accordingly. Apparently they are simply going to recast the voice actors and keep the show going, but do you think anyone will want to watch it now? I feel like this will destroy the franchise completely.

Adult Swim already stated Season 7 is in production with no issues, especially as in recent seasons Justin barely was involved in it outside of doing voices. So I assume now producers just have to find or figure out a way to do something about voice acting and show will go on the usual way.

Rick & Morty was a show far above my 3D brains potential to understand. but I tried hard to find the hidden messages behind the stupid burp humour and fart jokes. I could never do it. ... I was not smart enough for the commentary of the great Rick & Morty. It was a show which came to us too soon, and is gone before it was deciphered.

*salutes* Safe travels wherever this sentient and self aware show travels to next. It will be surely be to somewhere more suitable than this Earth.

I hope so. We got the creator caught being an abuser, and then the other co-creator made some pretty disturbing videos where he was pretending to do something bad to a baby doll. There was also the Mr. Jellybean episode about cutting the faces off of little kids, mocking adrenochrome. So yeah, I never liked the show; I always thought it was disgusting. I hope it gets canceled.

I've still never watched it. Apparently there's no way to watch all seasons of it in Canada without using VPNs or less legal ways.

Yes. It's dead

I can do a decent job switching between both their voices, I don't need alcohol, and I can switch quickly back and forth. 99% accuracy on Morty's voice and about 92% for Rick's with just a couple months practice. I could do the voice overs.

But nah, I don't want to. Adult swim made a terrible call. I have no interest in Rick and Morty if Roiland can't be involved. I'll still keep my avatar.

No voice actor can be reliably recast. It's impossible without it ruining the show. You cannot copy someone's vocal chords and cadence

Just remember Harry Goz from Sealab 2021. After he passed away, no one wanted to keep watching. They loved his voice.

I didn't find out about the news until I bought the High on Life game. It sold at least two copies in 2 minutes yesterday, because that was me.

Recasting voice actors in cartoons fails every single time. Every. Single. Time.

Oh well, Rick. I guess we won't ever know what happens with Rick Prime.

Another person gets canceled before there is a trial and conclusion.

Not sure who is calling the shots at adult swim.
