I agree.
Although, it's not nonsense when what people are asserting is actually correct and accurate.
Additionally...
People pretending to be exceptional, outstanding, or superior for being proud of their ignorance, and lack of initiative to learn, also don't impress me...
Some people use big words or speak about subjects that they don't actually understand in order to sound smarter than they actually are and out of arrogance and such.
Pretentiousness is real ...as long as the person is completely wrong about what they're saying.
The thing is, though, when you're uninformed about a subject, you'd best avoid calling others pseudo-intellectuals lest you make a fool of yourself.

Yes, you can do that. That's a conceivable outcome.
People are often mistaken that the only wisdom in the world is the wisdom of historical figures, which is kind of obviously wrong. Something that has value doesn't suddenly become true because it's older than 70 years old.
