ok... but it's not the same entity as batman.

batman is an established character, and the character is established as being male... therefore the character of "batman" can not be female.

you can create a "batwoman" if you want, but it's not the same as "batman" and should not be treated as such.

seriously ... Oracle is actually an interesting name that set the character apart from just being presented like it was a gender swap,

Oracle, Huntress, Black Bat, Orphan, Spoiler. All these heroes went by Batgirl at some time.

Its called IP. They made the original batman, and they can make anything they want with it. It really trashes the originality of the product, but that's just how it is these days. Greedy folks who has no concern for value of originality of product.
