Not true, TBH there are no historical records from the Romans about Jesus. He was not rebelling against Rome, but against the Jews, or better, he used to think differently from them. Pilato didn't find him guilty until he was accused that his God was above Rome, but Pilato did understand it was about religion and didn't care. Eventually, to avoid a revolt, he was crucifixed.

The above is not history, it comes from the gospels.

How can they "not know him" yet condemn and crucify him? Does not compute.....

Once again, there are no records from the Roman historicians, but only from the gospels which were written about 60 years after his death.

Only Tacito drops a line about "Christus" who was given the death penalty by Pilato, but no details about the trial come from the Romans.

heh well Roman records also paint Caeser as being a pretty awright guy....can you imagine having the Month of Trump every year until the end of time?

edit: ..and besides, my contention is not over whether or not he existed, just on whether or not he was 'just another guy'. MY thinking is that, if there was some person that walked around doing actual impossible acts, that would go 'viral' like nothing ever seen before....and ehh ya it sort of did, but not to the degree that I would expect. It's literally proof of divinity or supernatural existence. heh. Even for back then, I feel the impact would've been bigger.
