Well, the garage sets look, Uhuras thighs and of the gay cast I only know Zulu, but having seen him waving around a rapier without a shirt and the facial expressions of a lunatic was worth it.
Still gotta watch it some day, but as it is basically the DS9 plot in different colour it might count
The bouffant made up for it though
though you're taking to someone who won't watch the godfather because it's in black and white so also passing on garage star trek :P
My man i have to agree with you, you have the perfect taste in sci-fi as i can see it
disagree on the hate on voy.
the tech in it was refreshing.. and the dilemmas in it were well played out.
i watched tng and voy and ent as they aired a whole lot of seasons of tng and voy overlapped.. so for most my youth i had each week 2 new eposides.. untill the death of star trek in 2005 when ENT was pulled.
(rating for ENT were really high in my nation and I hate how its always the usa vieuwers that determine if a show gets pulled.. not those abroad) I liked the early history stuff could have done without the whole temporal cold war stuff and would have loved the plannet 6th and 7th seasons that would actually go over the romulan cold war and the actual creation of the federation.
ds9 I hated when it aired young me not liked it so refused to watch as it aired but grew on me when older still i think it less than voy and tng..
tos was long before my time and I always hated.
-to fake looking, to corny, to unscientiffic..
tos only has 3 episodes
*kirk outsmarts the computer
*yet another earth
*follow kirks d.ck
I respect it for allowing the later tng.. but boy was it bad..
star dreck ret@rd.. and star dreck -pizza slicer are not star trek.
also i liked the period of technology that they live in. enterprise is second due to the good cast. enterprise for fleshed out what the start of faster than light travel looks like, and how they get taken for a ride by higher spec civilizations.
EDIT: actually changing my order, one sec.
voyager is third, but mainly because i didnt really like janeway's hair or voice. kinda felt like janeway got upstaged by cha'ko ... tey? the cool guy, and the borg drone woman sometimes.
the romance undertones were pretty greasy though, hard to watch.
Well, your good right to do so, but you're surely missing out on something then!
If it helps you might wanna approach TOS
as a comedy series (a few reasons for the why of it we're already posted in the first few thread pages;) )
Considering a comedy is nothing but a tragedy+time this might even be a *logical* evolution for 60 years old sci-fi series
voyager is kinda where star trek made the transition from actually having a good plot to just being about the asthetics... that's why I say TNG was the sweet spot. also patrick stewart is just amazing in everything.
I didn't even watch enterprise after the gattling laser TBH... it was too much and so bad I couldn't.
Wait until he sees, discovery. The only true male is an alien, Booker.
Enough nebula's.
Sounds like skipping DIS after the first 5 minutes was a wise choice indeed
