I've enjoyed Star Trek but never thought of myself as a "Trekkie"....
The Original
Deep Space Nine
The Next Generation
Voyager
Enterprise ( but I don't know if I saw all episodes? )
I guess...

I thought everyone preferred tng?
No reason to identify as anything, wouldn't call myself a real "Trekkie" either, but I found it to be a fitting opening for the post ^^.
Anyway thanks for your entry!
Yeah, the kirks karate-neck-chop was something the universe simply wasn't prepared for.
I also really love how much desinterest in the things happening around him he can be.
I'm thinking of the episode, where some aliens tell him of "a great wall of energy that surrounds your galaxy" and all he has to say was "Yes I know, I've been there."
That is what I thought of too, but the research the friend of mine and I made, showed a suprisingly large Voyager fanbase (which would be the 4th show then)

Discovery has a special place for me though because it's really the new generation of Star Trek, and I love how progressive and diverse it is. Plus, the visual effects are incredible. Just had to get used to the new Klingons.
Favorite captains probably still are Picard and Janeway though. I love the actors they cast for their roles.
Shatner truly perfected the neck chop so nobody got hurt despite the deadly move.
If any untrained person would try that? Broken hand or worse.
Many people tried to chop without training beforehand, but none of them were ever to be seen again
Agree...
I get the feeling that the show that was their first experience is usually the one they like the most...
Yup, the first TNG season still has a lot of the Kirk writing in it, but they found their own way pretty quick.
I still don't get why the Klingons had be reworked again, but someone probably thought they needed it. The effects on the other hand are something that makes the new shows impossible for me to watch, as all the flashing lights and CGI give me a bad headache pretty fast.
To me nothings is on par with the TNG effects, all hand crafted only pieced together on the PC, the nebulas and asteroids as well as all the ships, they made a seperate miniature for are just looking so incredibly good to me. Unbeatable
1. DS9
2. TNG
3. ENT
Haven't really watched TOS and VOY was a tad weird at times.
Also NuTrek my arse.
