Frasier and Cheers are high quality American productions.
And I'm saying this as a European.
Grew up with those shows.

Highly recommended both of them.
American studios should make more shows like that for us Europeans to enjoy.
Just rework modernize the concept.

Frasier was set in Seattle. Cheers was set in Boston.
Can you Americans please call your uncles who work in the business and tell them to make something similar and as good?

Thanks.

EDIT:
I may be drunk or very tired while posting this thread. But you get the gist of it.
Make new shows like Frasier and Cheers!
We need it.

They were wholesome, though in hindsight a little cloying.

And weird, there was an episode of Cheers where the bar were scared there were two gay fellas around and so tricked some unrelated guys to leave, leaving Norm to go "ha we won" only to get smooched by two gay chaps.

I mean, wot? Different times and all but lol

Coach best character from the two. Niles Crane second. Sam Malone third. Sorry.

Peace out.

So, you are a Norwegian dude.

Well, we both like Frasier and Cheers! High quality humor for sure.

Go drunk... your home.

Seriously though... Frasier was funnier then Cheers I always though... just my opinion.

Pah, the only high-quality American thing I've experienced is my cast-iron pan.

Cheers is great. Frasier is good.
You'd be hard pressed to find a comedy with better writing and execution of that writing than those.
That said, I can only stand to watch so many ep's of a sitcom, no matter how good it is.

Any new shows like Frasier or Cheers would be remakes of Frasier or Cheers. And no one wants that.

But yes, the original shows were both quite good.
Really good shows only come around once in a blue moon (I've yet to watch those shows in particular but might in the future). You need to find good writers before they become washed-up, and that is hard.

Oh it's going to happen... it's just a matter of when... they can't come up with anything new, only remake weak versions of old things...

The remake of Night Court is on now... not even going to hate watch it, won't give them even that
Y'all call your uncle in the Norwegian film business and get us a Troll Hunter sequel, and we have a deal.

Thankfully I hadn't even heard that was a thing. So...thanks for letting me know, I guess? :KentHappy:

Oh, heck yeah! Troll Hunter is definitely one of my top 5 favorite foreign (to me) films*.

(*Along with, in no particular order: Låt Den Rätte Komma In**; La Femme Nikita**; Ringu**; and... I forget the fifth. I want to say it was some sort of German sci-fi movie?)

(**Just realized all three of these have had (mostly) terrible American remakes.)

As a Canadian I am doing my best to get new episodes of Trailer Park Boys for what that's worth.

That first season of that show was amazing. Felt like someone reached in my head and made a show out of it. lol.
It went downhill pretty fast after that for me tho.

I recommend The Andy Griffith show too.

Frasier gave everyone the wrong impression on Seattle.

..and no one except those in Seattle, or perhaps people entirely unrelated to that city, even cared until now.
