Do You Think Steam Has A Left-Wing Bias To It?

Now this is a genuine question, it seems like whenever there is a not so left-leaning post, even if it were a civil political discourse, it automatically gets defunct by Steam mods (Such as the recent posts on this forum). Hearing from personal experience do you think this is true and how much to a degree and what can be done to prevent such a bias from occurring again for equal measures of intellectual thought?

Not at all. Just found it funny and made an observation.

I've noticed that those that complain about brigading or some type of mob rule do so because they think they are in the right even though the only reason there has been moderation is because of violations to the forum rules. Spamming reports doesn't work for bans like everyone wants to believe.

The mods don't look at the amount of reports, they look at what is reported. Reporting something you think breaks the rules or shouldn't be on the forums doesn't mean that it actually does.

Retaliating at people or getting 'baited' doesn't exempt you either.

Meh, not really. It just so happens that with the recent political polarization and general censorship of right leaning voices people have become more radicalized and are OK with sharing spicier opinions, ones which necessitate breaking forum rules

And everything I said in the post was based on scientific consensus; it just happens to be a scientific consensus that threatens the reactionary world view of he average poster here. Thus it was deemed "divisive" and I was banned.

I do not believe any of that. They are not going to bother to do in-depth analysis. This is just a forum. No amount of injustice will ever really matter. They do have to remove threads and ban users. To show the boss they are doing their job. Using reports is the easiest way to do that.

Awards doesn't mean it didn't break any rules. Again, the amount of reports doesn't mean anything, only what is reported.

I never said they would look through the thread of even implied it.

They look at what was reported, not how many reports. If a thread or comments from the thread or constantly being reported, that's when they will usually lock or remove it.

Honestly no, which is surprising considering they're based out of Washington of all places. As a few people have mentioned certain game devs certainly veer to the left though. As for the mods, as long as you don't break any of the rules or cause too much of a ruckus i don't think they care.

It did not break any rules. They just said it was "divisive" to point out the myths underpinning transphobes' world view are not actually scientifically defensible. I did not call out any posters. I made a simple observation about gender and science, based on a thorough reading of the science on the subject, and was banned for it being "divisive." And it was. If one wants this place to function harmoniously with its current membership, decent people must be expelled for the comfort of the reactionary bullies who outnumber us here.
